Dead end product as it does not support Windows 11. Not to mention the paltry 4 Gb of RAM.

Also, this.

Just consult the chart:

Mine came with an active Supervisor Password on the UEFI so I can’t make any changes. How to fix?

just tried to boot up mine and experienced the same issue; emailed cs to see about a replacement (since based on my sample size of now two machines, they probably all have this and the refurbisher thought most people just wouldn’t notice/care) and we’ll see what they say.

certainly seems like a great little machine for $70; i was gonna grab an 8gb stick on newegg or something and call it a day, maybe do the registry edit to try to update to 11 and see how it handles it. not sure what the first poster was expecting 1080p at $70. this still blows the chromebook version with emmc out of the water, and much better than trying to convert an even more-underpowered chromebook to windows.

They’re probably all like this, couldn’t be bothered to check any of them, hoped nobody would notice or care. I noticed and I care, and I still haven’t heard back from support yet.

You will, it’s the weekend and also they had a yuge volume of sales. I hear tell they’re answering the emails in the order received.

Hi there. Our buyer got hold of the vendor. He said to try bypassig with the code:

0188999

If that doesn’t work, reach out to Customer Service and they can request a replacement unit.

PS: It did not affect all units, only a small number.

Ah this is brilliant, this worked for me. Not sure why the SP would have been enabled in the first place, but I’ve just disabled it. Happy now that I won’t need to return this laptop!

Same issue here with BIOS password. 0188999 does work. It seems that the Windows preinstalled has a user “j”? Something smells fishy here. Wondering if this copy of Windows 10 is even licensed?

Probably a random name used by the machine operator doing the reimaging of a dozen machines at once.

Anyone else get one without a working touchscreen? Mine doesn’t recognize that it even has a touchscreen, windows won’t update. It’s in decent physical condition, but nothing works!

i noticed this during my setup process too, and just deleted it after logging in with my microsoft account becoming a new admin account, without issues. hope this helps, thanks!

ordered an 8gb stick of ram from newegg to swap in here, and debated replacing the ssd but settled for a 512gb microsd for additional storage that’s removable in case i need it. not planning on doing any heavy lifting hahah

I was able to get into the BIOS using the password and disable that! Everything seems to work fine, I also had the mysterious user “j” that I promptly deleted after resetting the PC. Apart from the mediocre battery life (1.5 hrs??) everything seems as advertised

My order is still awaiting shipment while another Woot order from days later arrived early this week. Seems odd that 9 days later it has not shipped. I was surprised to come here and see some folks got theirs a week ago.

Is anyone else in the same boat as me?

The very unhelpful response from customer service reports “Your order 77980790 is currently in transit. This is definitely not what we want our customers to experience.” and then provides a link to the UPS tracking info which shows that a label was created on April 5 and that UPS is still awaiting the package.

That’s exactly what Woot told me here, so how is that at all helpful?
