Continuing the discussion from LG SP7R 7.1 Channel High Res Audio Sound Bar with Rear Speaker Kit (Factory Reconditioned):
Rolled the dice and glad that I did. This thing is in pristine condition. The only downfall about the sound that I have to say is the subwoofer is not bass-y as id like to be, but I believe the major problem that all these negative reviews are stemming from the fact that no one realized/read that you have to download an app for your phone. The remote comes with is, good for simple things but if you really wanna fine-tune the sound and your speakers and everything in between you need the app and you’ll be pleasantly surprised of the difference and sound you’ll get. I feel bad for the people Who returned this without realizing that
Is your rear speaker quality not great? I just received mine as well, and it is in great condition with the sound bar sounding amazing, but the “wireless” rear speaker quality is terrible. Super static-y when turning louder. Subwoofer is pretty good as well, I actually have to turn it down at night lol
Great product. awesome surround sound. Works phenomenal with Fios YouTube tv.
I also just rolled the dice on this guy. Reviews are spotty, some say it sounds great, others not so much. I did gather that to really fine tune the sound you NEED the phone app so keep that in mind.
I have a refurb Vizo 5.1 I got from here years ago and it’s been mostly great, clean bass and front sounds fine but my TV is no longer happy with it connected via the ARC port and the remote volume control goes nuts when the ARC function is turned on. Works fine with the TV speakers.
So hoping for at least a slight upgrade in sound and MAYBE the new combo will fix the ARC issues with the TV remote trying to control the volume properly.
It’s cheap enough I can always put in on one of the other TV’s here if I don’t like it on the big set so a win win I think.
Mine showed up today and the condition is pretty much new in box, maybe somebody opened it to check it out and unwrapped one of the tiny rear speakers wires but everything else was padded and packed like it hadn’t been touched.
It sounds pretty good, front speakers are very bright and clear as long as you don’t crank it up to rediculous levels. The sub sounds OK, the rear speakers are very active and clean.
I think the sub on my old Vizio 5.1 setup from here is better bass wise but tended to drop signal and get noisy occasionally. I think the overall sound feild and front sound, voices, is better with this one and the front led mode and sound display is a nice touch.
I haven’t been able to get Arc to enable except once but it works fine with the optical input and maybe I have something set wrong or a bad cable.
Not bad, especially for the money.
My rear speakers are very clear listening at normal levels.
You might have a bad set or maybe the Bluetooth or whatever it uses to hook to the soundbar isn’t linking properly.
had just bought 5.1 surround system and was ok with it. saw this deal pop up couple weeks later. said F it. was almost less than what i paid for some no name 5.1 that was just meh. this is 7.1 LG (which brand my tv happens to be as well). probably, one the best purchases and deals I found in a long time. was in practically brand new condition. All speakers are great speakers were awesome and I agree with the other comment. All these negative reviews don’t understand at all whatsoever, and I can guarantee that they had no idea about downloading the app, remote control, and the way more fine-tuning You can get with the settings on it. probably kicking themselves in the ass right now
Hey guys! Bought this recently and opened it up to find that it was absolutely not factory reconditioned. It had been long used and abused before i recieved it and it really shows honestly. There was still tons of dust on each of the pieces as well as no manuals and deep scratches everywhere. Really disappointed that yall got practically new ones and mine looks like crap.

Are all the speakers wireless?
Are all of the speakers wireless?
Hello. Found the manual. Looks like the rear speaker connect to a wireless receiver but othefwise wireless.
At a popular warehouse club, I was standing in the customer service line, and a guy brought in a ridonkulously huge stadium display TV. The lady at the counter asked him, “So it took you 29 out of 30 days to come to the decision that this is not for you?” He just blinked and said nothing, and they gave him his refund. I suspect that worn set of speakers may have been a similar situation. Oh, well. Humanity, I guess.
Great info dude
I just received mine, but am in the middle of packing my house up for a move across three states. It’s sitting in the box - I opened it and did a quick check that nothing obvious seemed missing, but literally just a glance so I’m not 100% sure yet.
My TVs are all packed up, but I don’t want to be in a situation where I finally get into my new place and install this and THEN find out somethings wrong.
From the problems I’ve seen here, is the consensus that I have to suck it up and unpack/set up a TV and set this whole system up before the move? I can’t seem to find what my timeline is for reporting an issue, and I really don’t want to screw myself over. My things probably won’t be moved and unpacked for another 10-15 days.
Hi there. Holiday returns go through 1/31/2025. You also have a 90-day woot warranty if needed.
Oh, awesome. Thanks!
Mine arrived a couple weeks ago. Simple set up to TV I did get LG soundbar app on phone. Happy with this purchase. Sound is great. Seemed more open box than refurbished. Happy with the price. Great value.
Seems like i got the only unlucky faulty one. Tried everything to get the rear speakers and sub to pair to the main front speaker. Nothing worked. Waiting for a response to get a replacement, hopefully the next one isnall good
