Lodge: America's Cast Iron

[QUOTE=msmarm, post:20, topic:397464]
After grilling cut-up flat iron steaks that were marinated in ginger-soy-garlic-brown sugar, the cooked-on gunk/fond collected between the raised grill bars was challenging/nasty to clean.

Any suggestions how to handle this are appreciated.

You could try making a pan sauce or something of the sort, that’ll help lift out those delicious bits while giving you something to put over the steak.

I believe for cleaning cast iron that’s got really burnt on stuff an option is salt and using half a lemon to scrub it with.

Are these seriously made in China? I thought Lodge cast iron pans were all made in the USA. Anyone know?

Checkman … see previous comments above. :slight_smile:

The information is correct as stated in the sale. The enameled pans are made in China. The regular cast iron pans are made in the USA.
