I’ve had the keyboard from this bundle for a couple of years now, and it has been highly reliable and is comfortable to type on. It’s better than most laptop keyboards I’ve used, but obviously not as good as a mechanical board. The battery life is only okay if you game a lot or use the backlighting, but it also charges fairly quickly. The best feature by far is the ability to use it with up to three devices via Bluetooth and/or Logitech Unifying dongles. I have it connected to four devices; two devices share the Unifying dongle via a USB switch, and two others use the Bluetooth connections available in the keyboard.
I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one if this one ever dies on me. I have a fully mechanical (old school PS/2) keyboard, and as nice at that one is to type on, I’ve gotten so used to this Logitech board I just stick with it these days.
Did you get the deal from here that was open box? Ordered thinking it was a great deal and missed the open box portion..
It says 1 year logi warranty. If you click the link it says original purchased. Woot can you confirm if this is 1 year from date of purchase on woot or because it is open box the warranty has already started?
Note that the mouse works only for right-handed use.
I have both of these — using them now — and can attest to their utility. I’m less pleased with the shallow and low-resistance keyboard keys, but it’s teh MX Keys for Mac, so few complaints. The MX 3 Mouse and MX 3S Mouse are great … the variety of OS functions, application functions, and Smart Actions that you create yourself is huge. See my post here on the MX trackball for details of how I use a combination of application functions and my own Smart Actions to paste dozens of equipment serial numbers from Excel/Notepad++ to a web-based portal, saving me hours of time per month.
Depending upon how you buy each of thse (Used Like New, Open Box, or Refurbished), you’re saving a bit of $ buying this combo together.
Yes, the mouse is for right-handed users. Left-handed users are a niche, you’d have to order from the mothership or Logitech direct. Or … get a Trackpad. I have an old Logitech T650 trackpad that is superb, and Apple’s Magic Trackpad 2 is well worth an investment for macOS users (skip the Magic Mouse, it’s elegant but gesture support is severely limited).
Note: the illustration of buttons is inaccurate. Here are the programmable buttons and locations. The Shift Wheel Mode button can be programmed as well as the Gestures button. The Gestures button can perform 5 functions by clicking, or clicking-dragging in one of four directions.
OH. I’ll be darned.
You can program the Shift Wheel Mode button to do gestures. A little easier than holding that thumb-down button and moving the mouse.
No I actually bought it from my employer when we got a bunch of new open box units in to sell. We got the keyboard only in that deal from our supplier, no mouse included. Which is fine because I’m picky about mice and I don’t like the overly contoured ones.
