Heads up here - I almost made a mistake. This is just a water bag and a separate filter “straw”. The water bag doesn’t hold purified water - it holds dirty water and you have to suck it through the filter “straw” to use it. The copy isn’t really clear on that (intentionall? I never trust marketing “pukes”…)

Just for the record, this is actually the preferred method nowadays for supplying water for a backpacking or camping group. You don’t “suck” the water out of the filter end, but let it hang below the bag so gravity does the work for you. You can also use the filter separately as a straw for an individual, but that’s not the intention for this kit.
Gravity filtration through hollow fiber filters is very convenient if you have a base camp with trees around, and much less work than sitting by a stream pumping a large quantity of water into a reservoir.
