The wire harness isn’t included and will cost you an additional $16+shipping from another supplier.
I bought this a few weeks ago for $79.95. The radio came with the wiring harness. I installed it in a 2004 F150 and it works great. I wish the FM radio included RDS but that is my only complaint. Otherwise the radio sensitivity is good. Android Auto and Carplay both work well and the screen for the backup camera is bright.
I’m looking for compatibility info. I have a 2008 Honda Civic and want to know if it is plug-and-play. I’ve been unable to find any info on which cars this will fit. Any assistance is appreciated.
You’ll need a wiring harness and a fit kit. The harness will connect your car’s harness to the radio harness, you’d splice those connectors with butt connectors or similar, they’re color coded and it’s pretty easy to do.
The fit kit is the plastic surround which will make this radio physically fit the hole left behind by your factory radio.
This all said since your radio is integrated into the heater controls and etc it’s probably easier just to buy a radio molded in, you can google those pretty easily.
Does this unit have gps?
I bought this a month ago for $79.99. The sound quality was disappointing in my 98 CRV. It sounded worse than the stock stereo with my phone connected through an FM modulator. No matter how I adjust the equalizer, it just lacks a punchy mid-range bass especially at high volume. Wish I could return it.
Why can’t you return it? There’s a 90 day Woot warranty, details in the listing.
More importantly, why are you using an fm modulator!?
I’m no expert but I think that comes from your Apple or Android device.
Because my old stock stereo doesn’t have aux it, u know, cause it’s from 1998. Obviously I was connected with bluetooth to this new one in comparison. There is a high level of distortion compared to stock.
That is the warranty, it is not a return policy. Warranty means if there is anything wrong with it they will fix or replace. As far as I know, there is nothing wrong with it. It just doesn’t sound good and I refuse to throw more money into it to get a sub if it doesn’t even sound as good as my stock 1998 stereo playing through the radio and it’s using bluetooth and aux in.
It’s too late for me now. I actually bought it on Feb 23rd and it arrived on Feb 28th. I remember it being a month ago cause that’s when I finally got around to installing it. Thank you for the info though.
Not always but Carplay and Android Auto are still better cause they get regular updates. Built in ones don’t.
What version of Android is the operating system? These units may run Android Auto and CarPlay, but the underlying OS is just Android. I’d like to know the version of Android because some older versions of Android lack certain features and the OS is not typically upgradeable on these radios. The latest version of Android is 14.
Question…is this wireless with my iPhone…or do I need to plug it in to connect via usb?
Got this guy installed in our 2010 Matrix this weekend & working well! I noticed I could not use Android Auto through the rear USB port, had to use the front. Other than that, seems like a great value so far.
