I got the Jamo 807s the last time a saw them on sale here, and they are not bad at all for the price. I have them hooked up to my home stereo system, two Fluance bookshelf speakers and sub, and it is amazing. Is it the highest quality sound coming from these? No, but I don’t live in an amphitheater. For my house, this setup rocks. I recommend them if you are looking to add more speakers to your system or start a system.
I’m in for a pair of these at this price, half of what Crutchfield offers today…
I’m not always a fan of “The Klipsch Sound” but these are definitely their own thing, despite belonging to that parent company. Jamo does push their own sound signature, which isn’t flat, or the most accurate out-of-box. But most of us don’t live in a mastering studio, as the previous commenter mentioned.
It’s great for most home theatre systems. Paired with some S801 bookshelf speakers as surrounds (picked up some time ago here on a different sale for under $80; or find the 803 if you want more oomph). And honestly, compared to much more expensive speakers, if you have good room calibration or EQ like Audyssey, the imperfections fade away REALLY quickly. Add a center and a sub, and you’re in a wonderful budget audio space.
For those who want a good upgrade from a sound bar, these two alone, with a good AV receiver, would be so much more powerful, and deeper, and expandable.
Hope this is helpful
Clicked on addtional specs. Says it is only DIMENSIONS (HxWxD) 1042mm x 191mm x 252mm
8.70” x 6.5” x 10.25" Is this correct? on Amazon site it talks 44.25 x 19.75 x 14 inches. Very different.
Please help.
Trust the Amazon dimensions (they also match Crutchfield)… These are full tower/floor standing speakers, so the 40~ish inch height is normal.
The other listed dimensions seem to be an incorrect carryover from the Jamo S801 bookshelf speakers.
Their spec sheet seems to be wrong for this model. The actual Jamo.com page for these has the imperial dimensions as: 41“ x 7.52” x 9.9”
I picked up a pair of these last year from Adorama for 100 bucks, with shipping., (They were returns or floor models, Like New condition).
I have these in my office, as replacement front speakers for the Jamo 803 Surround Sound setup (803 bookshelves in front, 801s in back, center channel, and the matching sub). I also have a pair of Jamo S 8 ATMs on them for front Atmos. I moved the 803s to the rear and retired the 801s. I bought the original surround package from Woot in 2020.
My office is about 15 feet by 12 feet. These towers are excellent, they will fill the room if you have an adequate receiver/amp. If you’re building something as you go, or doing an upgrade as I did, keep an eye out for the S 8 ATMs if you want Atmos. Going to be difficult to find a pair for under $200, however.
