I’d like to bite on this but what does Japanese model mean to a US buyer? Any major concerns to be aware of?
They aren’t region locked, and you set your preferred language in the initial set-up, so, It should work fine.
Stroker is correct. Nintendo Switches aren’t region locked so this, if you don’t already have a switch, is a good deal.
Similar to the Hong Kong switches sold on temu.
I bought my switch on woot months ago and don’t need another. So I’ll pass.
Main thing is no US warranty but we give you a Woot warranty.
What about power? Will it have a Japanese plug/adapter?
ETA: I see Japan uses the same 2 prong shape North America uses, but voltage is 100 instead of 120v. Still not sure if that matters.
That voltage difference won’t matter.

That’s pretty cool
I read where you have to adjust your router settings to get these Japanese versions in the US to get them to connect to 5ghz networks. Can anyone confirm?
Nintendo still seems to be stingy on the price drop for this hardware that is essentially from 2015.
What generation is this OLED?
10 percent off today. Does that mean I should reorder to get that and return the one I already ordered? Or will customer service help me out if I hit them up?
Same here, just ordered yesterday withhout additional $20 off and wondering the same. Customer service is not available today either
I messaged customer service, hoping they can help, as now it’s sold out.
They gave me a refund of $20 and notified me via email. Were you able to get yours yet?
Yes they just hooked me up also!
It shows 289.99 before tax for me, will the price drop to 269.99 still work as of july 20th 2023? Thanks.
No.
That was one day only.
(Please note: I don’t work for Woot, I just volunteer to help out here on the forums.)
