(NEW) Nintendo Switch – OLED Model Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Edition

This seems like a great price for an incredible system. I bought my OLED switch last year for $350, without any games included. The inclusion of Pokemon really makes this a great deal for anyone looking for a switch and was already planning on buying Pokemon.

Unless I’m missing something, this doesn’t come with any game. It’s also the regular price for the special edition OLED model, which is $10 more than the regular OLED.

Also, this is the Japanese version console, which may affect warranty claims if you have issues later on.

Game isn’t included. You’re just paying $10 extra for a fancy design.

Unfortunately, game also bad

A bit bummed that this isn’t discounted a bit like last time. Especially since this is the Japanese version. I think it was like $340 before. What gives, Woot? Are you cheaping out on us?

Yeah. Woot needs to stop acting like they are giving a discount when they are really charging the regular price or more. This console bundle is yet another prime example. This is more than regular price, it is the Japanese version, and the silly Pokémon edition. Not sure what the guy in the first comment was takin about. Clearly not a great deal. Buyer beware.

Did you find it offered for less from another reputable online retailer?

It doesn’t come with the game. If it did, this would be a great deal as this is close to the regular price for the OLED version of the switch.

Just confirming, the game is NOT included.

Correct. Game is NOT included. It’s just the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Edition Switch OLED console.

Yes, I did find it cheaper elsewhere. Right away, with a simple google search. It is $10 cheaper pretty much everywhere. Gamestop. Nintendo…

And it is not the the dumb Pokémon/Japanese version. If it being the Pokémon/Japanese version is actually a plus for you then this might be a fair deal. Again, buyers beware. At least do a quick google search before assuming something is a good deal because it is on Woot. I am finding often that things on Woot are not the amazing deals I might have previosly assumed. Often times you can find things cheaper elsewhere. Sorry, Woot. Just sharing my experience here.

MSRP for this model is $359.99 - that’s just how Nintendo decided to price the special edition versions (so far, just this and the Splatoon 3 version). Woot is not trying to rip anyone off here, they’re just selling it at full price. Yes, it is the Japanese region console, but the Switch is region free and can play any game from any region. You select the language when setting it up and your eShop region is based on your billing address. This is likely the last chance to get the special edition version before Christmas. Would be nice if there was also a discount, but the demand for it is still there and it will sell out before long.

I believe the current trend is, if the Pointless Price is not shown, then it is the same price you will normally pay anywhere else. And in this case, it is something that is out of stock everywhere (except that auction site) and stock from another country magically shows up here for your buying pleasure.

As was said earlier, you do not get a Nintendo Warranty. So for the rare few that are unlucky to have a console that will die after 3 months, you will be SOL. And for the rest of you who will eventually get joy-con drift, you too, will also be SOL (without some negotiating skills with CS @ NoA).

Aside from the warranty, the only minor nuisance will be to switch the console to English (or any other language if Japanese is not what you want) when you first start it up. Otherwise, it will play any Switch games from any country.

Unless you have to have the Pokemon graphics on your console, there are better deals for an OLED version practically everywhere.

So 10 dollars MORE than regular price for a super ugly decal on it? Woot is def not what it used to be.

Again, they are selling at MSRP. This is the regular price for the limited edition OLED.

LOL. we didn’t design the thing.

I bought this when it was $339 during the BF/CM deal. The fact that Woot raised the price on this seems a little greedy.

I knew I saw it for cheaper on here. Bit of a bummer but I guess I’ll cough up the extra $20 since I missed it last time.

Anyone else notice that this is listed as the Japanese version?
