Quite a poor deal if I may say so.

Correct me if I’m wrong but wouldn’t this be region Locked? So basically buying a paperweight?

Switch doesn’t have region locking.

No region locking on the Switch gladly. You can buy North American games for it and it’ll work. Same with European and Southeast Asia releases as well.

Hmm Google searched and it said that the International models are region Lock the eshop. So any dlc and that of sorts wouldn’t work. So, just trying to understand is all.

The DLC is tricky and yes, that would cause issues in some cases.

That is why it’s worse than buying your correct region switch.

This price would be a meh deal for a North American switch, let alone an international one.

Because of that, These things should be under 200, 250 is crazy.

Games are 100% not region locked on switch, but yes DLC may be “region locked” however, I have many games from different regions, and I’ve never ran into a game that region locked DLC. Although if you did run into that road block, there’s an easy solution - create a user profile on your switch for that region and any DLC locked to that specific region will now be available for you to play. Assigning a region to a profile is done manually, so you can create a user profile for each region if needed, all on one switch.

I know you said this isn’t a good deal but is it cheaper anywhere else for the same product? This looks to be the cheapest anywhere right now for the international model. Genuine question, no disrespect.

I don’t know if there are any better deals available today. But I know they’ve been in the past (one recent example is the Costco bundle deal: $200 for oled + 256GB sd card + case + Screen protector + switch online 12 months).

And I know there will be more in the future as the switch 2 was just launched. I wouldn’t compromise with an international model for this price.

If you need one and think this is a good price, go for it!

I’m certain this deal will sell out.

Costco no longer carries the switch oled. They have the switch 2 for $549. Sam’s has the switch oled for $349. So I don’t understand poor deal utterance.

My understanding is the DLC is locked to the eShop region, not the Switch itself. Shouldn’t be any issues if you are in the North America eShop, regardless of your Switch being “international.”

I think the only difference here is the warranty and possibly the plug included (though that’s unclear from the specs).

That was only a few stores and to clear stock. That’s not really a genuine sale to compare it to. My Costco’s didn’t have that in stock at all.

Even if you consider the non-clearance price, it was $299 before that (and $399 before that) which is still better than this deal.

If you think this price works for you for an international model, great!

It is now an older model. Personally, I expect more clearance deals in the future.

There’s a Costco bundle deal happening rn. $200 for OLED switch, 12 month nintendo online membership, carrying case, and SD card. If you have a Costco membership, this is definitely not a good deal.

In store only? I’m not seeing it online.

It’s only in store and only because Costco is trying to clear out their Switch OLED stock. Not at every store since they’re not restocking when sold out.

Cool cool, thanks for the insights folks! I do have a Costco membership but mostly just stick to groceries whenever I go (croissants, bread, eggs, bananas). I’ll check out my local one too see if they have an OLED switch and report back. There are a few in Denver near me but I’ll just stick to the one closest to me. Thanks y’all!

So I went to the Costco before it closed. They only had one unit left and it was $225. No games, but it did have a one year subscription and either a case and/or a cleaner of some sort. I wanted to buy it, but I’m already over my budget this month for toys. I probably wouldn’t have time to enjoy it anyways, too much going on in life right now. Therefore I just stuck with groceries this trip.

Note: yes the OLED version and yes it was the bundle thing
