So is this a fancy sort of stealth icecream maker that dresses in black? Does it sneak up on you silently in the dead of night and make Ice-cream? Does it take out its tiny kiatana’s and self slice the strawberries? How about making its own fruiit puree with its itty bitty nunchucks? If these things do all that in tabi socked feet, I am in for one.

Did the other one come with three containers?

No, they’re both the same model. The only difference was the other one was listed as scratch and dent, & marked down to $70.

What is the difference between “refurbished” and “scratch and dent?”

I love my creami, but it’s my second unit, purchased from a retail store brand new. My first was a refurbished unit from Woot. It only came with two pints, and no recipe book, but it was still pretty great. Right up until the 90 day warranty passed, and then it developed a known issue where the blade shaft is unstable and starts shaving plastic off of the pints.

Haven’t had any issues with the new unit so far, so hopefully they’ve solved that issue, but I suspect there’s a reason for the high number of refurbished units available.

We got our Creami from the big-box chain warehouse near us over 8 months ago. We use it several times each week and have had no problems with it. We really love this machine. It is one of the few “gadgets” that prove worthy of taking up counter space.

Unless I’m missing it , I don’t see it stated how many containers are included?

I ordered two of the 301s in black and they both came with three tubs.

One was a refurb which had a little scratch and one was a scratch and dent that had a big scrape. They’re equally functional and the scratch and dent was $67 and the refurb was $85. Your mileage may vary.

Look under “in the box”.

It says in the what’s included in the box section that you get 2 16oz containers. Enjoy!:icecream::ice_cream: :yum:

Just last week I got a Cuisinart frozen yogurt and ice cream maker in my IRK which was great since we misplaced the one I bought 6 months ago when we moved back home. Even though we still haven’t made any home made ice cream I’m wanting to get the Ninja Creami just because it’s in my head that Ninja is better. Am I as foolish as I sound? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Hmm…

I’ve donated at least one of the Cuisinart ice cream makers. The Ninja is far superior in my opinion.

Probably not.

The ninja is easy. As long as you have the pints of mix frozen, you’re all set. Once it’s done you just wash the pint container and the blade/lid. The rest you can just wipe off.

You don’t have to freeze the bowl then make the mix and wait for it to churn. Then wash the things.

I mean, there’s always going to be things to wash but I like that I don’t really need to plan ahead with the ninja. As long as I have a frozen pint of whatever, it’s ready when I am. I think it only takes about 4 minutes to make the magic happen. Another couple of you need to re-spin.
