Wow they really put 30 weiners on that grill in that picture

The fact of the matter is that you can’t claim that a grill is specifically able to cook 30 hot dogs without proving that claim. For all we know that photo was from the one and only wiener capacity test!

I can’t believe they don’t include a pellet scoop for that price!

I haven’t seen that many wieners since college!

This is the older, smaller version. If you have to feed more than 3 people, you want the bigger one if you want to take advantage of what this thing is really good at and that’s that it’s basically an outdoor airfrier that can add smoke. I don’t even use the smoking function often, but I use it 2-3 times a week to cook chicken. You can roast at 350 for about 10 minutes depending on the chicken part, then crank up the air frier to max and get the crispiest skin and the meat is still juicy. It preheats fast. I wouldn’t use the grill plate to cook a steak. Put it on a cooling rack, put a temp probe in it, cook it low, like 250 til it hits about 5 degrees below below your preferred eating temp, then blast it with the air crisp to get the Maillard reaction. And it can add smoke flavor if that’s your jam. You can use any food safe pellet, you don’t have to use their proprietary stuff.

I have one of these and I love it. Very versatile, and you can use regular pellets instead of their expensive ones. I live alone, so this is big enough for me, and I only use the Traeger now when I have company.

I like how the lines are painted on the hotdogs lol

@mtb002, @grush1, or anyone else - do y’all know if this grill does anything for me that a regular Ninja air fryer doesn’t, besides the smoking feature? Just wondering if this would cook a hunk of meat any differently than the other air fryers (the toaster oven kind, not the bucket ones).

TIA

Sorry, I just saw this. My ninja toaster oven air fryers smoked up the kitchen pretty bad and are a mess to clean. This is so much easier to clean. What other hunk of meat are you thinking? I’ve been cooking prime rib roasts in the big one and it turns out beautiful and is easy.

That’s a 5 lb prime rib roast and a couple of Dino beef ribs.

Thanks for replying. I was looking for further information on how these cook, not necessarily to get in on this sale in particular. I’m single, so at most I would be cooking steaks or chicken breasts/legs, so I don’t really need the clearance that your scrumptious roast requires. To me, cooking over a flame or charcoals produces a different steak than say pan frying in the kitchen. I was just wondering if this outdoor ninja grill cooks more like a traditional grill, or would it turn out similar if I used the air fryer basket in the ninja oven. Luckily, I haven’t had the same smoking issue with mine, but that could be from what I’ve been cooking.

My forte is baking, so I’m pretty clueless on the in’s and out’s of grilling, and wooters like yourself are usually pretty knowledgeable and willing to share their honest experiences.

It would sear like a foreman grill, you won’t really get that sizzle sear, but as you can see on the beef ribs, you can get plenty of good browning. If you prefer a charcoal grilled steak, then adding some pellets will get you closer to that than any other electric grill. Get onto you tube and check out CJ, he’ll show you how to use it.

We just got one of the Ninja Woodfire Smoker/grills, etc. No recipe book included!!! How am I supposed to figure out how long to cook things? This may be a long learning curve…
