I’m cautious with skincare after getting a fake Cerave Retinol from Woot, what are the chances of this being counterfeit?

You’re covered by the holiday return policy. I personally haven’t been sent anything fake.

WOOT!'S HOLIDAY RETURN POLICY - Items purchased from Woot between 10/11/2023 and 12/25/2023 may be returned by contacting Woot! customer service by 1/31/2024 for a FULL REFUND. There are some restrictions, which are here.

(Please Note: I’m not employed by Woot, but I volunteer to help in the forums.)

I just open the Ark of the Covenant every morning. It’s done wonders for my combination dry-oily skin.

Me thinking the same thing, lol

This is my issue too. Amazing doesn’t check authenticity on returns, they aren’t trained for that. I’ve had fake Adidas come from the actual Amazon store, not third party. It’s too easy for scammers to slowly return dupes.

… if you know/can prove it’s counterfeit.

The point is, you can suffer damage/injury before suspecting a counterfeit.

Yet again, the blame-the-customer spirit is strong here.

No it’s not. We may ask for photos some times but that’s so we can offer various options. Just reach out to CS.

You’re totally oblivious to the point i made. Heck, I even preceded it with “the point is” – literally.

Saying “we’ll take back the crap we poisoned you with with only a modicum of hassle” is no excuse for Amazon not policing its supply chains in the first place

Yeah, I can’t speak for Amazon. They’re supposed to be good at filtering out expired inventory too but…

Talking about this, Nike and other Brands are going to start discouraging returns like in many other countries because there is no way to qualify your entire staff to do QCs in returns especially during holidays and large sales events.

The cosmetic dupes have become so good that you may not notice with just packaging alone. Recently a family member recieved a duped Mario Badescu toner that burned her face after two hours of application, something that has never occured with the original, and the AmazonCS rep said well it’s open we cannot return it. Not blaming Woot here just adding another two cents on a larger issue.
