Can always extend a warrenty through Square Trade warrenties.
buy with AmX and you get a built in warranty. they do it on all electronics.
DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE BUYING ANY USED PHILIPS TV. Google “Philips Flat Screen Power flashing LED problem”. Trust me - you will be glad you did.
Sam’s Club has it near me for $1194, brand-new. Warranty is 1-year, extensions can be had of 1-year ($70) or 3-years ($200).
So, this is $300 cheaper. Tough call. Add the 1-year from Square Trade and you’re $200 cheaper but have the same warranty as new.

And to think, I just bought a converter box for my nice little 13" tv in the kitchen. Should of just run a cable in there and bought this puppy. Dinner with Woot…

Those boxes suck. Bad image scrambles, weak signals at random times, they are ugly, well except for the pretty blue and red lights, etc.
Just bought a tv a few days ago.
Brand new
Toshiba 40"
1080P
750.00
Best Buy
Otherwise i would consider this, although i dont really like tv’s over the internet because i have to ship for repairs if it breaks

ya i bought it as Sam’s Club.. so far no issues but i got the 3 year for only 70 (prem) member
I am uncomfortable with the short warranty. If the manufacturer wanted us to feel good about their recertification program, they would stand behind it with a normal warranty. On the other hand, if my name was Phillip I would do it so that I could have a personalized big screen tv.
Have a nice woot!
Ehh… Sears has a new 47" 1080p ProScan for $899.99. Not that I’d recommend it, but at least it’s new.
I’ll stick with my 42" Panasonic Plasma personally per perfect pleasure.
Too bad they don’t have that shirt on shirt.woot.com. All of my iconic punk favorites.
My buddy just bought this same one from Sam’s Club last week for like $1200. Pretty solid TV though they kept trying to watch movies with the Digital Natural Motion on and it only looks good with sports.

I bought the 42" version 6 months ago and I like it. It has a great look. The one thing that I’ve run into is it doesn’t have a VGA input, which I could use.

Anyone that is concerned about the warranty can purchase an extended warranty from SquareTrade, or for an even better deal, tedunlimited http://www.tedunlimited.com/Service%20Plans/Extended%20Warranties/Televisions/?sck=60709895
I have had this TV for a little over a month and am very happy with it. Everything about it is very nice. Color, response, sharpness are all top notch.
If you are using the stand, it is a very nice heavy swivel stand. There is a thin clear plastic decorative edge that goes around the entire display that was annoying while hanging it on the wall.
no excuses for not going digital now. this is a heck of a deal!
I bought one similar 2 months ago at target for $1099 and works well. looks nice in my living room. Recommend getting a three year warranrty if you can or buy it new there I guess, good luck,

Indeed, I would still buy it new for 1099! (Although I am a little doubtful if target sells it for that cheap. Maybe it is a slightly older model with similar spect.) But anywho at least you get 1-3 years warranty. And if you don’t like it, you can just bring it back within a month.

Recertified makes me a slightly unhappy camper, but regardless, holy crap. 1080p, 120hz 47" sub-1000 dollars?
Who divided by zero?

Tend to agree with your first comment. However, the set has “Perfect Pixel HD Engine” as stated in the promotion. Good luck on counting every pixel to see if there are any dead one’s so you can hold Woot accountable for their claim on a recertified product.
