Misleading. These are not Poly Wood. Rather, these are QOMOTOP. Similar products. Different companies.
In this instance âpoly-woodâ refers to the type of material.
The listing is clear that the manufacturer is QUMOTOP and not Polywood. Please note the chairs will be branded with QUMOTOP on the fronts.

You can have any color you want as long as itâs white
Iâd of been in on these if the blue was avail.
I am confident Mortimer will regret using âPoly-Woodâ in the copy by the second hour of his deposition. The rocking chairs I bought on Woot are great but they are not âPolywoodâ brand of Poly-Wood LLC. They are made of HDPE. My Woot purchase is a different shade of grey and has more grain look in the finish than Polywood. That said, it is easily assembled, very solid feeling, and am confident it will last. This is a great value for HDPE patio furnishings.
Agreed, misleading and shady. Using the description to hide that itâs actually an inferior and mostly unknown brand⌠bad form.
The brand name is on the front of the chair. What else do you really need?
Youâre using another company name, which is made with a proprietary process and known for high quality, as the title for some lesser product and you donât see an issue with that?
What youâre attempting to justify here is initially a lie⌠with the truth hidden in the description. Shame.
Poly-wood material isnât the same as Polywood the company. The company manufacturing this is clearly stated in the description.
And how do you know itâs âinferiorâ? Have you personally tried both products to compare them?
Poly-wood llc. Is the name of the company that makes polywood, is it not?
Their registered trademark name is Polywood.
The listing does not claim its made by any other manufacturer than QUMOTOP.

Yes I have two of the white ones from last time and I wanted two blues up go with them.
Terms Of Use
Last Updated: March 16, 2017
Poly-Wood LLC and its affiliated brands, including TrexÂŽ Outdoor Furnitureâ˘, Ivy Terrace Furnitureâ˘, Ateeva Outdoor Accessories, and Select by POLYWOOD ( âPOLYWOODâ, âweâ or âusâ) provides this and other websites (including applications and other online services that are accessible through various desktop, tablet and mobile web browsers from time to time) (collectively, âSitesâ) subject to your compliance with these Terms of Use.
You never did say if you had any experience with this product. Do you? Can you personally attest that this is âinferiorâ as you stated above? As a consumer I would like to know.
Again, the listing does not claim its made by any other manufacturer than QUMOTOP. And the name is branded on the front of every chair.
(Please Note: Iâm not employed by Woot, but I volunteer to help in the forums.)
Poly-wood is the name of another company, did you neglect to read the poly-wood terms of service?
You ask these silly questions, yet you are clearly capable of finding information, so Iâll ask you some silly quesions in return.
What is the warranty of qumotop compared to poly-wood?
Where are each of the products made?
What are the source of materials for each?
What is the process for coloring each of the products?
Let me know what you find, be sure to post the answers to these questions here.
Arenât you representing woot on these forums? I feel like they could have chosen a steward who had at least some basic understanding of product feature and value.
The posts DO say â(Please Note: Iâm not employed by Woot, but I volunteer to help in the forums.)â.
Hi all. Talked with the Tools team. Weâll be using the term âPoly Lumberâ going forward. Thanks for your feedback.
