Chinese manufactured knock-off of American made Polywood brand.
The title says “Poly-Wood” instead of Polywood".
The description says poly lumber.
I thought maybe this item was made from Polywood BUT
as far as I can tell Polywood sells furniture made from proprietary Polywood and does not sell Polywood boards to make furniture.
Anyone know differently?
I have a set of Polywood Adirondack chairs and they’re awesome. These look like an imitation. Menards sells a version that’s in this price range, and they are made of thinner material than the original Polywood chairs.
The pictures appear to have an “Oomotop” brand insignia on the front of the chairs.
The actual Polywood chairs are $219 at Home Depot and $199 at Overstock. I think I would skip the knock off and buy the American originals.
Polywood uses High Density Polyethylene (HDPE, think recycled milk jugs) and these say they’re made from polystyrene. I’d avoid this one.
Thanks for all of the comments. I was thinking about buying a couple of these and then storing them until the summer. I think that I will wait until spring and then buy them from a local seller.
