Of course, this doesn’t mention important things like:
- The silks aren’t break tested for the extreme forces that aerial skills use
- You still need a rig or home install that can hold a car, for safety
- You should also have a structural engineer check your building if you intend to use anything other than a portable rig
- Your home insurance generally won’t cover anything related to aerials - including injuries or structural damage - unless you get aerial specific coverage.
- Home aerial setups, like pools, can be an “attractive nuisance” and have led to the deaths of several children. If set up outdoors in particular, they require a commitment to store the apparatus out of children’s access when not actively in use, for safety reasons. You aren’t going to use it after your neighbor’s kid thinks it looks fun and ends up hanged.
