Is there any information about the model number on this one? The description is confusing: the photos show this model has CleanEdge Technology™ and therefore would have only one side brush, but the text says the box contains two side brushes.
edit: the Shark site says the RV2502AE has two side brushes and CleanEdge, so the only remaining question is if that is the model number here.
Model number please. The pictures and description are conflicting. Your description says clean edge tech and your pictures show a few with it and the main one without.
I bought this on the last time it was posted.
RV2502A0US
Was the model number I received. 2 brushes no grey sides to indicate the fan for corner cleaning.
Great unit but the dust bin is made like shit. First one broke the latch after a week. Ordered replacement which broke as well.
I ordered this the last time it was on for the clean edge and it didnt have it so if this one actually does have it i want to know so i can get what i wanted. It displayed the same way showing it shouldve had it but it didnt have it.
Would also like to know the model number. I bought this one because it was exactly like the one that I’d had my eye on. But if it doesn’t have CleanEdge technology, then it isn’t the one I was looking at.
I ordered last time on the same ad with no model number. I received an RV2520AOUS.
It’s ridiculous they don’t show the model number. Maybe they have a mix of models, but they should let us know that too.
Was about to buy this but the lack of a model number is suspect. I’d prefer to know what I’m getting.
Yupp exactly what it showed for me too and definitely didnt get that. Very misleading and falsely advertised. Crappy to see it wasnt just me who got the wrong model and was everyone that was misled.
@ThunderThighs Inquiring minds want to know, has the vendor provided any details about what we’re buying?
I sent an email yesterday but haven’t heard back yet.
I ordered this last week before seeing the forum. This is a little concerning. Not expected to receive it until 10/23 too.
Let’s hope we luck out. I also bought it before anyone had posted on the forum. I don’t think it would be a deal breaker for me if it doesn’t have CleanEdge technology or whatever, but it would be false advertising. I bought it because of the ratings and knowledge I had about that specific model.
FROM THE VENDOR:
There are different model variations of this same model. We are shipping the model variation below for that listing. And yes, this model does have clean edge technology and 1 side brush.
Model variation - RV2520AFUS
Whats different about this model vs the RV2520AE?
Seems that i can only find the RV2520AE model.
bought this one and returned it, suction and mapping are great but my deal breaker were:
- You cannot see what area of your house is cleaning in the map, so once it’s starts running you are blind until it finishes or ran out of battery.
- i have a 3 bedroom house, many times i saw it cleaning the same area multiple times and it ran out of battery before cleaning the rest, so i had to wait about 4 hours to recharge and clean the rest, but since you cannot tell where it’s cleaning it’s useless.
I believe the letter change from “AE” to “AFUS” denotes that it is a refurbished model.
From the vendor:
These are the same item. There is no difference. One is a reference model that SharkNinja uses
I got the XL 60 day last June 2023 Woot (RV2520A0US) and I have to say I am very pleased with this vacuum.
It arrived like new with no signs of use at all even though it’s sold as refurbished. The mapping is excellent and it goes through and cleans, empties itself and resumes, then goes back to recharge then finishes the house, goes back and empties again and recharges. I don’t touch a thing during all that. I have no problem emptying the hopper in the garbage can, latch works fine.
It drives over obstacles without any problem and it has yet to get stuck anywhere. The wheels have struts that helps it go over things and maintain traction. 1450 sq ft house.
Also, it is a lot quieter than my old Bobsweep vacuum, no comparison between the two robots.
