I had to get this since I dropped and broke one of the pink ones (my daughter’s)-
Oh well, it was only a 2GB, so now it’s an upgrade.

BTW
Lots of peeps won’t heed the Woot Description and download the users manual and the software for Photos and Videos.
Or read the last 10pages of help and, ahem, “discussion.”
IF you DID do all of the above, go here for some help from fellow Sansa-nites:
For those of you looking for v2 players, I have an offer for you. If you order and get a v1, I’ll trade my 8GB v2 with you, even trade. I ordered it off woot, opened it, turned it on, and haven’t used it since because I want rockbox. It is a refurb, like these.
Leave a post here if you’re interested and we can figure out how to make it happen. Or send a pm to mdweisen on the sandisk forum
Support dude is wrong. I have used MediaMonkey, Winamp, Rhapsody and the now defunct Quintessential Media Player at various times to sync my players.
Any jukebox capable of recognizing the player in MTP mode should work just fine.
You probably had a hardware problem.
The description says:
“Features microSD™ expansion slot for additional memory capacity.”
So… that means, according to posts here, I may or may NOT get the version that actually comes with a “microSD™ expansion slot for additional memory capacity”? Why doesn’t it say I might get a unit with a “microSD™ expansion slot for additional memory capacity” instead?
Confusing.
I’ve been waiting for a few months for my first woot purchase… I bought an extremely cheap 8gb mp3 ($30) off of ebay 2 weeks ago and if you move it around too fast the power shuts off…so i was excited to see this deal!
FYI: Amazon is selling the case and armband for this for less than ten bucks w/ shipping!!! Can’t wait to workout w/ this.
No. You WILL get one with an expansion slot. All e200’s have the slot. The issue is whether yours will support microSDHC (high capacity, 4GB+)or just microSD.
There’s no way to know whether they’ve accepted your request to up the order to 2. They don’t respond, yet may accept the “up order.” Or at least that’s what happened to me once when I did a similar “up order” from 1 to 2. No word from woot, but a couple of weeks later I received two items.
Okay, a couple years buying stuff from woot, and this is my first Sansa. And only because my ipod is full, and I like the idea of swapping out SD cards to change content.
hey I’m trying to order one but I can’t because it keeps asking me to look at my postal code again but I’ve checked and it’s correct…any ideas??
try 0 zero vs. o letter lc or O letter UC
Does this player come with any connecting cables? What cable does it need and how can one get one?
I got this exact Sansa the last time it was on woot and I love it. It has excellent sound quality and the battery lasts a looooooong time. It’s very easy to transfer music, just drag and drop, no stupid iTunes or other software to mess around with. Mine was a v2 so I was able to pop in an 8gb microSDHC card and now it’s a 12gb mp3 player.
hmm well there’s no zero’s or o’s in it…
Go back to the main page and scroll all the way down to the bottom, where it says “In the box”.
can I downloas movies off dvd onto this and watch them
Well since you know they never have these I decided to finally just quit watching woot each day and make an account now i’ll have one of the “rare” beauties heading my way.
What I am assuming, given that the protection is indeed removed, is that the user convert the files to acceptable files…which can be done with no loss to sound quality. You just have to have good software for the conversion. Thus, the changes to iTunes will allow a Sansa user to buy songs from iTunes.
I’ve been using mine for over a year, and absolutely can’t live without it now. I finally decided to RockBox it a couple months ago to add a larger memory card and get even more use out of it.
If you load Rockbox (free) you can rip DVDs and play them on these devices. Use DVDdecrypter (free) in IFO mode to rip the disk, then use WinFF (free) to resize the file to fit the Sansa screen. A 2 hour movie will require about 400 MB IIRC.
I am sure there is some way to do it without using rockbox, but why bother?
The question you have to ask yourself is “do I really want to watch a movie on a tiny little screen for 1 1/2 - 2 hours?”
