I think I got a couple of these from Woot a long time ago at only $12.99-14.99 each didn’t I?
Yes, you did…in November of 2005, and they were $16.99 each.
Am I the only one that got John Valby flashbacks when reading the Product Info? Won’t woot this (the GF Grill already takes up too much kitchen space), but the laughing my butt off, wandering around the house singing Valby songs (and ticking my wife off) was worth hitting the site for. Thanks, Woot!
Where are you going to use this? On top of the STOVE so you can vent the smoke.
Use it once for the novelty and then spend the rest of your life looking for a place to store it.
Why would you buy this! you can just use a frying pan!!
I bought one of these during a woot off and we love it. We like to have friends over for steak fajitas and cards and it is alot of fun.
well, Lookit the SIZE of the Tortilla Warmer, and extrapolate from the SIZE of a TORTILLA … Hmmmm
Well. a FRYING PAN doesn’t have a TORTILLA WARMER, nor a SAUCE WARMING TRAY nor a DRIP Tray (two each of the last two)
That’s Why.
I have to agree with most of the comments. I bought one last year at Woot. The idea is great. Cooking surface too small for more than one or two Fajitas. Seems to me that we got a Margarita Blender along with the cooker for about the same money. The blender was great. The serated blades really chewed up the ice.
A hearty snork to those who purchased this “use it once then store it away to collect dust” item.
yeah… plus a gazillion in shipping!!
considering it doesn’t specify what size the tortilla tray is, that’s a bad idea. unless of course you are banking on there only being one tortilla size, which there isn’t
Anyone know if the cooking surface is removable to put in the dishwasher?
The question is, is this thing any safer than The Cornballer?
The writers for woot! are pros! PROS!!!
PROFESSIONALS!!!
I CAN’T GET OVER IT!!!
This is one of those items you would buy for the relatives that you just really can’t stand, nor stand shopping for.
Bought that here last time they had it. Nice looking but turned out we never used it and just gave it away.
It’s junk because you went crazy with your screwdriver and tightened it until it broke? I think that’s more a case of user error. Don’t blame the unit.
does anyone know if I could cook something like chicken on this in a dorm room without creating so much smoke as to set off the fire alarm?
Alright, I’ve got a daughter starting college in August…PSU Happy Valley, GO Nittany Lions!..who likes Mexican cuisine, eats like a bird, can’t cook for crap. To those of you who have had experience with the item, would this item make her more friends or more enemies if she had one in her dorm room…smoke, odors, etc…and is it versatile and practical enough to put to good use?
