Scott Harvey Mountain Selection Zin (12)

Scott Harvey Mountain Selection Zinfandel 12-Pack Case
$139.99 $336.00 58% off List Price
2013 Scott Harvey Zinfandel, Mountain Selection, Amador County

This is a very compelling price for a very good bottle.
I rather wish I didn’t already own 3/4 case @ $17+/btl.

A case offering following a woot off seems like not the best marketing decision, but I only buy the wines (and drink the wines) so I’m not an expert on selling em.

Since we just saw the InZin a an hour ago, what is the difference between InZinerator and the Mountain Selection Zin?

Based on the more brash bottle of InZin, i’m guessing it’s more “new world”?

Is there anyone in MN interested in a split?

Close, but likely SH will visit.

In my experience, the mountain is much more ‘classic’ and reserved, while the InZin is more a red for white drinkers. Typically it has a bit of ‘port’ varieties blended in that add a bit of RS and make it a real crowd pleaser and more ‘new world’ at release.

The Mountain is an excellent example of Amador fruit, and some I know even prefer it over the higher end White label releases.

Very temping here in southern Nevada… perhaps halfsies anyone? I just had some of the InZin, it’s good, not exactly my preference of taste. I’d like to try this too; not sure about 12 bottles for the first. Or I could be wrong…

I’m one of those who prefer the red label over the Reserve white label zin. Love the Amador County juice. This is a phenomenal deal!

I haven’t bought much over the past year or so and am now starting to look at replenishing my cellar a bit. Scott Harvey has always been a favorite, but it seems like all my favorite Woot wineries no longer ship to Tennessee.

You’re killing me! Still no Georgia?? I can order SH on the other one wine at a time site.

Interested in splitting a case? I’m in the Atlanta area.

Scott makes great Zin in addition to all the other great wines he produces. At this price, I was going to go in for more than one case to use one case as Christmas gifts. But now that I’m retired I’ve got to watch the wallet especially since I splurged on the recent Woot Off. Who wouldn’t want to get a great bottle of Zin for holidays?? Especially if your buying at this price!!!

Just bought a case for Saratoga, NY let me know if anyone wants to split thanks.

What is with Scott Harvey’s off-yesterday on again today relationship with North Carolina?

Hi Everyone,
Great to be back on woot with this great deal on our Mt. Selection Zinfandel. Yes, the InZinerator is a little more in the new world style with about .8% residual sugar that comes from our Forte (port style wine). The Mt. Selection is just good old Zinfandel made dry. 59% is Zinfandel from the Bowman 39 year old vineyard. This vineyard is always the base wine for this blend. In 2013 we blended in 20% from my Grandfathers old vineyard which normally goes into our Old Vine Reserve and 12% is from the Oldest Documented Zinfandel vineyard in America, Vineyard 1869.

If shipping isn’t available, give us a call at the winery and we’ll take care of you, 707 968-9575.
Cheers

I am weighing getting this all for myself, but could probably more easily be persuaded in a split as my wine cellar holds 100 bottles and I already have 120 so at some point I need to drink more or buy less.

I’m in the Twin Cities area and could discuss a split if you’re game.

Holding the InZINerator until late night in yesterday’s wootoff is dirty pool, btw.

I picked up a few bottles of this vintage from Scott in August. This is a nice, straightforward, balanced, elegant old world Zin. Dry. Not heavy. Great with Italian dishes, pizza, autumn roast vegetables, even roast chicken or turkey. Or just a nice red on an autumn evening.

For my taste, it has just enough age on it. Drink now, drink often

Oh, I ordered more.
