HEY!!! again, NO ZOOM…read the specs…8x does NOT refer to zoom…there is NO ZOOM…what you see is what you get…
I’ve heard reviews of this combo device from time to time and it has never been good even though the concept itself is intriguing. Typically the pictures taken with these are blurry and not usable. That’s because in almost all cases, the camera is separate from the binocular lens and uses it’s own set of lens for zoom and focus. So basically it’s like tying a 1.3MP camera to a pair of binoculars.
Buy hey, maybe this one’s different?
Here is a review on Amazon of a binocamera that is rated to be much better than this one and yet complaints abound.
by “zoom” I meant magnification 8x is the magnification on the binoculars is my terminology better for you now?
why call it “magnification” ? why not just call it ‘air pressure’ or ‘signal strength’ ?
You know, there’s just something about that event . . . there’s an episode of the Simpsons where Ned Flanders fantasizes about being up in that clock tower shooting people, it never sat right with me even though I’m a huge SImpsons fan. I see these in a number of places referred to as Simmons Mattress Simmons Capture View. Let’s see. If these can focus at 16 feet, you just need a mirror 8 feet above your mattress. Then when showing your pics you can say “objects in the mirror are larger than they appear”.
There is no zoom. If you mean does it follow your focus, it does not. The manual says there is a separate (note spelling 
focus on the camera. It is only a near/far switch.
Is the picture crisp and clear?

Christmas is coming and this will be great for 8 and 10 yr old stocking stuffers. I know my boys are going to love playing with these and should they brake I’m not out much. Reading the manual was the only way to see that they are not trash like the wooters are trashing them.

No, an indoors picture from this camera will not be one you want to look at much less show to people. No flash. The camera is not as good as some camera phones.
Also for those of you nerds who wear glasses, with an eye relief of 11 mm you will just see a dot when you look through the binoculars. You can buy better binoculars for $20 at Walmart. For quality stalking buy a “Celestron SkyMaster Giant 15x70 Binoculars w/Tripod Adapter” and a tripod for less than $100. Or so I’ve heard.
Yeah, most hunters I know just want to take pictures of the animals they kill AFTER they blow them away…

how big it was etc… what else? I would figure (as a non-hunter) that you could take a picture of the animal after you shot it and show people how big it was. Someone else mentioned catch and release fishing… but still you catch the fish first. I can see no purpose… or rather added benefit in snaping the animal before death. No offense but most hunters aren’t really the “sit around and look how majestic this beautiful best is” type.

I wish you semantical nazis would just shut up once in a while. How does the concept of zoom and magnification affect his argument.His point is that with the digicam he can zoom it to the same magnification as the binocular and get a bigger picture.

Virgin wooter, in for 2. This is a sweet deal for my 5 year old, and her 6 year old cousin. A $30 digital camera for each for hiking, and whateve else they can dream up for a use. Nice christmas present, Woot!

I had a similar device a couple of years ago.
The biggest drawback is that the subject you are capturing
needs to be well lit. There’s no such thing as a 100 yard flash.
Good price though. I paid $100.00.
Wait one! The PDF manual shows a very different photo of the CV2.
