I have one of these - they are great

No WI-FI!

This player is awesome, I’ve had mine for almost a year. Small footprint, quick responding menus ( it’s not even painful to ‘type’ things in with the remote ), and lots of apps/channels. Oh yeah, and it plays blu-rays too.

close to buying, but no wifi :-/

Same here, no WiFi is the deal breaker.

No WI-FI? No Buy.

Unless the apps and sony network are important, who cares about Wi-Fi? this has a great UI and loads fast. Definitely worth $40

If you’re set up for it, Ethernet can be faster. I use one of those thingies that goes through your electrical outlets to carry Internet to my TV so I can use Ethernet cabling.

That’s a thing!?

It’s a thing! Can’t remember the name of mine but it gives me 4 Ethernet ports right next to my TV.

Why do vendors insist on putting the bottons on top of these blueray players? So many models are like this - Makes it impossible to stack things that should be stackable.

Well, I think they’re on the weird angled part of the top so accessible. But that top may not give you a stackable footprint.

I guess everyone wants theirs on top?

Amazon reviews say not compatible with samsung and LG tvs. Sad.

I buy, download, and store a POO-TON of shows and movies, and for that reason wi-fi is VERY important. As is at the LEAST a USB port…this has neither, so THAT’S why.
