Does anyone know the interior dimensions of this with the door closed? Curious if this would be an appropriately sized safe for a pistol.

I wonder if this is the safe that you can whack with a mallet and it opens.

There are mounting holes in the back if you look inside. Mine is a little bit bigger and has similar holes. Some like 4" lag screws give me a little peace of mind.

I wouldn’t get a bright one unless this is for your kid to keep their allowance in or something.

Yup. Bolt it down and you’ve given the thief a chore rather than just allowing them to walk off with something. At this price, you should buy 3, bolt them all down, and hide your goods in 1. Then it because a shell game for the bad guy. Which should they waste their time on? Will they get the prize or a zonk?

The mounting holes pretty much prevent this from being fireproof or waterproof. But if need of a relatively strong deterrent able to secure (but not protect) items, properly bolted down it’s got a purpose and not a bad price.
