These the leaded ones that don’t come in contact with your bev?!?!
Yes, none of these actually contain ‘lead’ on the inside
It’s just the insulation which won’t ever contaminate (unless you purpousely dent it beyond repair, aka big gaping hole)
I have a different brand of this exact one and I’ve never had a problem.
I’m just wondering how dishwasher safe these tumblers are. A dishwasher is a very harsh environment and is it possible that water could enter areas of the tumbler that contain the lead and give your dishes a nice lead bath.
Has it happened with any of your other stainless steel insulated tumblers? Most of them are sealed with the same type of lead pellet.
I only have a couple of these type of tumblers and I’ve always hand washed them.
I think you’ll be fine.
You’d have to deliberately pry open the bottom of the cup to access the pellet.
Or, hand wash the metal cup part and use the dishwasher for the plastic lid that’s harder to wash.
I hand wash mine, but only because I don’t have a dishwasher.
Stanley’s been around since 1913, they just recently had one of these tumbler survive a fire in somebody’s car and the drink was still cold, then they gifted that person a new car.
Best advertisement for this type of container ever
Ibought all of these and I have them listed on my eBay store now for $1000 each.
My statements on Woot are purely for entertainment purposes only. Elements of the statement may be exaggerated, staged, or unproven. In other words, WG, JK LOL.
I didn’t get one, but now that they’re all sold out FOMO has got me hard, lol. I guess I’ll just have to live with my half dozen+ Hydroflasks and Yetis.
I love the deco designs but can’t justify the price. Especially since I get a free travel mug at every job site. Though the free ones won’t hold the temp at -20 for eternity, they do the job just fine.
