Got this today. Cuts well. Battery seems fine.
Only complaint is that there is no easy folding for storage.
I got this a few days ago. It had a broken wheel in the box but went on to sun joes website chat and they have me two wheels already in the mail. They were very quick and helpful over their chat. Wheel is easy to replace, so shouldn’t be a problem. charged the batteries and cut with it using the other three wheels and it did a great job for 1/3 acre (45 minutes or so at full blast). It was starting to weaken but could have went further. We were not sure if we would like an electric mower but I want it for my 77 y/o mother who still likes to do some yard work, and I think it will work great for her. Seems light enough to get around pretty easy. It’s all plastic outside but has lithium ion batteries and a brushless motor so probably worth the risk to check it out for a while. If my mom doesn’t like it it’s probably worth the money to have at my house for areas I would have to weed eat before. I would say it’s great as long as you are doing light duty stuff.
Does this feel flimsy to push? So you can’t fold the handle down to store??
Was looking at this. Check your serial numbers. There may be a recall for them if these are the same ones. More info here
[Mod: our inventory is good. See post below.]
Bought mine a couple of days ago. My serial number indicates that this was made after the recalled group. Thank you for pointing out the recall issue, but it appears that Woot is selling units that are not within the population of impacted mowers. The mower arrived in perfect condition. I can mow my yard in 20 minutes. The batteries were hardly discharged when the job was done and they fully recharged in about 20 minutes. I suggest that anyone with the mower buy a “countdown” timer on Amazon for $11.00. This timer allows you to determine how much charging time you want to give to the batteries. The manual says that the charger unit will NOT shut off when the batteries are fully charged. Very few people will be attentive to charging times and there’s a risk that you can fry your batteries. This is the one to buy
I should add that this is a fantastic mower at an unbelievable price of $144.00. Jump on this deal if you can. Note that the spare batteries are also on sale - I bought two 2.5 amp batteries for about $56 dollars- which is unheard of. I can’t believe how easy it is to cut grass with this light weight thing. I almost buy not quite look forward to cutting the grass. No pulling on a rope for ten times. No loud engine noise. No blue smoke. No wrestling with an 80 pound monster. No tune ups, No oil changes. It’s literally a life changer.
The handle does fold for storage. Turn the two large thumbscrews on the handle to disengage the locking teeth. the handle will easily fold.
Our inventory is not affected by the recall. Direct from SnowJoe:
“All inventory was recalled and repaired before resubmission, so all current inventory is not subject to last year’s recall.”
I ordered this and the mower has honestly been awesome. I have a larger yard with some hills that a riding mower can’t handle and this works like a charm.
Not flimsy.
Can’t fold down the handle, but has to loose it up first. There is no fast folding design.
After folding, it doesn’t stand up like the other mowers. Cuz the back of the mower is not flat.
But you can’t stand it up for storage. Still have to lay it on the floor taking up space.
We bought this in October and when mowing last week in March the blade flew off in front thankfully. I just contacted Sun Joe and they said that WOOT is NOT an approved 3rd party dealer and they would not be able to honor the warranty. They sent me an email with a video on how to fix it myself along with the bolt size needed to reattach. I am very disappointed and will not be purchasing ANY products from Sun Joe in the future. Just wanted warn others about the dangers.
I’m sorry that SunJoe rep is being a jerk especially since we often work directly with them.

wanted to follow up here. Our rep has communicated to their CS teams that Woot is a covered party and that warranties should be honored. They had some new reps that were not aware.
Mowed the grass when I got it last October. Worked perfectly. Tried today, and would not start. Charged batteries again-showing full charge, but no joy with the mower. Will now try my hand at support…
