Swisstek UV-Clean Phone Sanitizer + Charger

Of course the monkey jokes are stupid. That’s really the whole point. It’s part of Woot’s charm.

Just thought I’d mention it.

As for your order problem, write to Woot’s customer service via your order history so they can deal with it directly.

Hi there. Feel free to check in with Woot Customer Service. Some delays are due to shippers - UPS has fewer drivers so fewer trucks. It’s affecting everyone.

From a browser, use the Woot Customer Service form. In the Woot App, choose Account from the bottom navigation and then Support.

Wow, you’re easily entertained…

After 14 days of not even being shipped out, all of a sudden after I complain about the delay I’m suddenly getting it in two days. Don’t have high hopes, looks like it will still be junk reading these comments

Sorry about the delay. Shipping is a bit trying right now. Vendors and UPS are both running on reduced staff. They can’t get as many UPS trucks to their facility as usual.

Yep, I am. I’m not easily insulted, though, but good effort. Have a nice day.

I finally got mine today and it was DOA. The front panel with the buttons and LEDs was on crooked and almost fell off and something inside was rattling around. Obviously, an immediate return, but was really looking forward to this. I had gotten my wife one last Christmas it works great, but was a different brand (Phone Soap I think) and much better made.

I got one as well. After taking it apart and adding some glue to tack things back down (speaker and coil are mostly held in place by tape and hot glue from the factory)… it seems to be working as designed.

I’m tempted to do the super non-scientific “sliced bread” test… With clean gloves, wipe the face of my phone on a slice of bread and put it in a sandwich bag. Repeat process after running the sanitizer… over a few days I’ll at least see if bacteria was nullified… not sure of a non-scientific method to check for virus destruction…

This thing looks like the cheapest piece of plastic I have ever seen. Light doesn’t come on and the other unit doesn’t even charge the phones. I have about 10% confidence this will even work and disappointed I wasted little over $100 on two of these things. Buyer beware

This thing is very cheaply made. The “voice” is barely recognizable. Should cost 9.95 not 49.95. The UV part works which is the only reason it’s not on its way back. No bets on how long it will last. Took forever to get it as well.

Basically a hyper annoying voice, feels quite a cheap build, the phone has to be balanced in the exact proper location in the bay for charging, and unreliably so, slight little UV lights on the side MIGHT actually do something. All in all, I agree with the, “This thing should be in the $10 range, not the $50 range.” people.

I did not like this device, it actually talks as you start the sanitizing. Its VERY loud. i mean VERY loud. and no way to turn it off that i can tell. Also its sure light and not very well built. I dont see ever paying $119 full price for this. actually im upset i spent $49. its for maybe $20

Did anyone try to sanitize face masks? Is it possible?

Stick it in an oven @ 158F for ~ hour, don’t wet it or spray it with disinfectant, it can hinder its performance. It can be heated like that up to 20 times but I’d toss it after 15 just to be safe unless you have no more.
If you are talking about a cloth mask just wash and stick in a dryer.

Ordered one on 4/21, shipped 4/28, arrived 4/30.

The voice on mine is very quiet. I can barely hear it.

There were no phone charging cables included, contrary to the write-up, just one with a little adapter to power the unit. Also, the manual says the aromatherapy dispenser does not work while in sanitizing or charging mode, contrary to the write-up. I haven’t tested the aromatherapy to confirm.

When the unit is plugged in and not in use, all of the LEDs on the front stay blue. There doesn’t appear to be any sleep function.

After using it for 3 or 4 cycles, all of the LEDs turn red and stay that way until powered off. Not sure what that’s about.

Peeked inside during a cycle to see if the UV lights actually come on and they do. Now I read elsewhere that UV-C is VERY BAD for your skin and eyes. The manual merely says “do not stare at the UV lights”. Oops, probably shouldn’t have done that.

The manual states the wavelength of light produced is 253.7 nm, which Wikipedia confirms is the wavelength most commonly used by germicidal lamps.

Yep, oops. But UVC light exposure also produces deafness, explaining why you believe the sound on this contraption to be “very quiet.”

It’s fairly large on the inside! It comfortably fits my galaxy note9 with the case on and charges it while sanitizing! But I have to warn you it does have a voice function that is ungodly LOUD and robotic and there’s no way to turn it off! It tells you when it’s ready, when it starts, and when it’s done. Some might like that, but to me it’s like “nails on a chalkboard!” Does an excellent job sanitizing though

Why not just buy a med grade UVC bulb… it’s what we have…set it over a flat surface put your items on it and set the timer for an hour when you go to bed…in an empty room of course… when you get up in the morning it’s all sterilized… it’s what we do with masks and car keys etc…

Or…

You can pay me $10 to come over and spray your phone with lysol and scream what I’m doing. I’ll even provide the Lysol.

Mine came promptly. Only good thing about it. This thing is junk. Do not waste your money.

Bought this during the last Woot event. This thing works, but is very poorly made. The identical item is available on Amazon at a lower price. The price drop is therefore imaginary. Go to Amazon if you really want one. You wlll get it faster and cheaper.
