Does anyone know how big this watch is? A super man-sized watch might look kind of strange on a little wrist.
Makes for a migh-T-fine teenage boy’s Christmas gift! I’m in for two!!
I don’t know why anybody would be ripping on this. I think this is awesome. I know tons of people who run with their iPods and would love something like this
I paid $60 for the grey/silver watch (on sale) at the beginning of the year for my husband. It makes sharing an Ipod with headphone splitters a lot of fun. It works really well, but be careful - it controls the Ipod even when the “lock” is on if you leave the attachment plugged in. I found my Ipod batteries drained more than a few times because I left it in and he fiddled with his watch downstairs (it has a good range). I would get one for myself, but it was way too big for my wrists (which are pretty small - I wish they made these in the women’s Timex size).
I wonder how far this could transmit? Maybe I could hook it up to a stereo, walk around a room with it and change songs as I please? that would be convenient. I Imagine that the watch would kill the I-Pod batteries though.
Call me when this works with my Slacker portable.

Does this work with the Timex GPS? Will it get the signal and tell speed, distance, & pace?
Will this work with my Ipod Nano 4th Generation (16GB) ?
I bought one to go with my 2nd Gen Touch, the controls work but with the dongle inserted the sound is turned off, can’t hear a thing from the built in speaker or the earphones.
Go Here for the product page from Timex.
They say it’s compatible with iPod Classic (80GB, 160GB), iPod Nano (3rd generation video - 4GB, 8GB), iPod Touch (8GB, 16GB), iPod Nano (2nd generation - 2GB, 4GB, 8GB), iPod (5th generation 30GB, 60GB, 80GB) and iPod Nano (1st generation 1GB, 2GB, 4GB)
Anyone know if this works with iPod Classic 4th generation? (black&white version)
I love the idea of having controls on my watch, but one better is the Sony bluetooth headset for IPOD. It includes controls on the side of the headphones. That way you can keep your IPOD in your bag/backpack. No wires and full control.
I have one of these, works great. I use it when i go mountain biking or hiking. I wear the watch all the time, comfortable, easy to use and the battery has lasted a while.
Won’t the receiver be too bulky? It is something to show off but I don’t see a practical use with this remote control watch.
As a big iphone guy, and this sounds cool but obsolete (already) to me because of the iphone’s new bluetooth music capability. it seems to me that it won’t be very long before they have this watch WITHOUT the cumbersome receiver. why not wait for that? i’d LOVE that.
I purchased one last year. The watch is just like any other inexpensive watch out there. I have 2 big complains about this product. One: the remote works fine, then works like crap, then will work fine. it’s like it can’t keep up with multiple inputs like, change song then turn down the volume.
second, the receiver that you put in the ipod is HUGE! like, just short of 1/2 the size of my ipod nano 3.
I used mine for a week, then said forget it,and just changed the songs myself.
now if the remote worked more than 50% percent of the time, then it would be great! but it’s not rock solid.
My first WOOT.
Woot!
