Remember, Asurion doesnât cover issues covered by the manufacturerâs warranty during the original manufacturer warranty period, and you arenât getting a manufacturerâs warranty⌠so make sure you get their official acknowledgement that they would cover such an item from Day 91 (after Wootâs warranty expires) and day 731 (when Asurion coverage would kick in, assuming a 2-year manufacturer warranty when new).
But in my experience, Asurion doesnât cover 3rd party refurbs in the first place.
Also note that freight in both directions is on you.
Bottom line: test the heck out of it immediately upon arrival.
Asurion does cover 3rd party refurbished product bought from Woot. We worked out our partnership directly with them.
After clicking the link I am presented with several options regarding plan types. The âHouse Wares Plansâ link takes you to a page showing an electric fan and gives you different price options (price options are self explanatory). âHome Improvement Plansâ shows a thermostat and the link take you to a screen showing a Drill, also with different price options. But, which plan type to chose for the portable AC?
I think this would be House Wares since itâs not permanently attached to the house (like a home improvement). ![]()
Yeah, secret handshake agreements are fun, but the official Asurion policy documents contradict you, as i itemized in the other thread.
So, the key part of any such agreement is implementing it in the freaking documents. Remember, we have hands on experience with this. She got a worthless device and a refund on the dishonored Asurion plan only.
This is reminding me of the Monty Python Fish License sketch:
"Clerk: This is a dog license with the word âdogâ crossed out and âcatâ written in in crayon.
Praline: Well, the man didnât have the proper form."
