“similar item”… You mean a TV set? I bought this several weeks ago from woot at this price, Best Buy had it “on sale” for $399 and the msrp was $450. So I’m sorry, but no, walmart does not have a “similar item” of this quality at anything NEAR this price. Next time, be abit more specific and people might take you alittle more seriously. Until then, ROFL…
I bought one of these at Costco for $350 and I love it! Bought the Woot one a few weeks ago. It appears to be the same model but when you give it a test drive the screen is different. You can only view it from one angle. Called Toshiba and apparently there are two different versions of the same model. I tried to sell the woot one on ebay and barely broke even. I wouldn’t buy this tv as it is the cheaper version.
A better deal is getting this samsung 26" monitor with 1920x1200 resolution, which is also an HDTV. It is also $299.99.

Sigh.. again with the unspecific. When making these types of claims, if you wish to have any credibility, list specific model numbers so people can do their own research, otherwise, spare us the noise pollution. I bought this TV from Woot a few weeks ago and have NO complaints.

I was unaware that you own WooT and are able to tell people what they can and cannot say.
WOW, you’re really smart

I did something simular to this already and there is one thing that everyone forgets. When you buy a monitor instead of a TV it does not come with a remote control. More importantly, it can not be controlled by a remote even if you have a learning remote. On/Off, Changing volume, changing input, etc. all has to be done by pressing buttons on the display. That may not be a deal breaker for some, but I would think most people would want to know that.
Where the hell was I when this was up? I’ve been watching Woot all day for a 26" hdtv and never saw it. Even had it on my iphone so I didn’t miss it. Put 'em back up, I dare you.
