Amazon has a 32" HDTV with 2 year warranry for $250 free shipping. But a better external DVD and have a larger screen. Built-in DVD only plays Playable disc types: DVD, DVD-R, DVD-RW, CD, CD-R, CD-RW, VCD http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003LPUWV8/ref=oss_product
This is an excellent television for a cheap price. I bought one about a year ago and I’ve had no problems with it at all. The only thing that I’ve found a bit off is that the sound quality sounds kind of distant at first and gets a little getting used to, but I stopped noticing it after only about a week or two.

I guess the question is whether one trusts TCL as a brand.
I just bought this yesterday from Amazon for $350… Damn them and their speedy processing; it’s already in the mail. I think I’m going to have to grab this one and sort out the Amazon returns rules later.
By the way, I’ve got a 32" Toshiba LCD (sans DVD player) and it’s been a great TV. Before that, I had a Toshiba tube TV, and it was a great TV before it rolled off my bed during my move to my new house. A buddy of mine just bought a 55" Toshiba LCD, and it’s a great TV too.
So, what I’m saying is, you really can’t go wrong with a Toshiba TV. They don’t get a lot of attention like Samsung (the big box price leader), Sony, and LG. But they are great TVs - a definite bang for the buck.
If I had a need for this one, I’d probably buy it…
