Toshiba Chromebook 2 13.3" Full-HD IPS Laptop

That will work fine. But you can do it wirelessly with chromecast for about $30 also.

Probably not but it depends on whether the previous owner registered it or not.

so, new for sale item soon then?

I have an Acer C710, pretty old version that I use constantly. The only limitation (for me) is the sub-3hr battery life on this model. So, I pulled the trigger on one of these - bigger, nicer screen and 7-ish hr battery life. Screaming deal at this price. After I bought mine, they sold out. I don’t think I was last, but this is one of the few times recently when reviewing Woot! at breakfast paid off.

Ugh! Dropped the kids off to school and when I came back they were sold out!

At least I now know the resale value for this model; now just gotta wait until it gets Wooted again.

I predicted these would sell-out soon. This was a really decent deal. We need to see more woots like this!

Yes you’re right! this was a very nice deal!, more like this one!

Deals like this have been far too rare lately.

Glad I snapped one up last night. Was thinking about ordering a second. Maybe next time.

Second time I’ve ordered a refurb laptop from Woot and 2nd time I’ve been disappointed. Turned on the Chromebook only to find a vertical line of dead pixels. :frowning:

So far, so good for mine. I panicked when I thought the screen had a big scratch, but it was just some gunk.

I put it to the test with several tabs and running Netflix, etc. Seems to run real smooth although it gets a little warm.

FTR, I was able to get the 2 year 100GB of storage from google.

The wrong power adaptor for the chromebook was packaged in the box, and now Toshiba are referring me back to woot.com, and will not replace the power adaptor citing that it is the resellers responsibility.

Of course woot does not have any replacement adaptors lying around, so this is turning out to be a wash-out!

Eek. Guess I better check that I have the right adapter before bothering to call Toshiba about my screen tonight. If Toshiba is not helpful in getting the screen replaced it will be going back to Woot for a refund.

ok Just got mine in, multiple gaps needed to be “snapped” shut, looks like a new screen (had multiple gaps and a ribbon cable hanging out of it)
My main concern is the keyboard, the silver space between the keys has 3 waves in it from left to right, In some areas it nearly meets the edge of the keys, in others it is really deep, the “premium” skullcandy speakers are under there maybe thats why
Im not sure how much this will bother me
I have bought a Samsung Tab Pro 12.1 refurb, must say that was incredibly like new, not able to notice a thing, this not so much

pondering if it will stick around or return to woot

QUESTION: has anyone looked at the display settings? I show my max res at 2400 X 1350 …? anyone else confirm ? I can send a screen shot

same thing here, toshiba just said tough luck and to call the seller (woot) and they should be able to send a proper adapter(ha!). i just went on amazon and bought the the last generation ac adapter for 6.95 (with prime shipping) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004YIFOPK?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00

it beats waiting around for a refund, now hopefully my chromebook works when i actually get to turn it on when i get the proper adapter

Same for me. These are the last two resolutions listed:
1920 x 1080 (Best)
2400 x 1350

I haven’t tried 2400x1350 yet.

ok cool I’m not the only one but is are all of them like this ?
if so why advertise 1080p as highest res? I have never heard of that standard before…

Anyone still haven’t gotten theirs yet?

Woot told me my package is on the way on May 28, but Fedex only says the label was created, and the status has stayed the same.

Contacted customer service, but they aren’t being helpful.

Well just got mine back from Toshiba repair. The line in the screen is fixed now. They shipped a box to me with a prepaid label to send it in. Took a few days to work through their support system but in the end I got a working system at least.
