Ungh! Turn My Headphones Up!

Hello ??? Anybody around ??

I’ll ask my question and maybe someone will show up on this ghost plus deal forum.

RE : Sennheiser RS 120 On-Ear 900MHz Wireless RF Headphones with Charging Cradle

I do not really understand audio lingo tech stuff , but am trying.
Would these hook up to any TV headphone jack ?
Looking for something for my 90yo mother who is hard of hearing and refuses hearing aids. Thought if I could get her some cordless h.phones — worried she’d trip and fall over a cord-- that it would help her out a lot.
She has an older TV and it might be hard to move things around to up grade. So for now just wanting to go w/ what she has.
Thoughts ? ideas ?
Thank you .

The only way they would work is if the TV has an audio output. An “older” TV probably wont. Look for RCA outputs on the back or side. They are the red/white/yellow jacks. Make sure it says output, not input!

If she has a cable/sat box, there should be RCA outputs on the back of the box, that would normally connect to a stereo.

It looks like it will plug right into the cable/sat box. If not go to your local radio shack and they can get you adapters to get you sorted out.

Respect to the Chappelle reference.

Do these BT Pyle’s connect to PS3? For COD, and other online games?

I picked up on it immediately when I saw the page title.

Fisticuff!

Dave Chappelle was my favorite comedian growing up. Seeing this reference made my day. I said it in his voice and just busted out laughing.

I think she will need a newer model TV with Audio out put as was mentioned her by another poster. I have these head phones hooked up to my 2010 Samsung flat screen TV.
While I like how they operate, I also want to mention some aspects of the headphones that may be important regarding your elderly parent. The on/off switch is VERY small and somewhat difficult to see on the back of the left ear piece. There are two rotary dials on the right ear piece, the upper one is for volume, the lower one is for getting the best reception. She would need to understand there use correctly. While I find these head phones work well for me, they are loose on my head and I don’t walk around with them as I’m afraid they will fall off if I don’t keep my head upright. There is no way to adjust the fit on my smaller head.

They also must be placed correctly in the charging cradle. There are two metal contact slots under the head phone head band, and those must make contact with the cradle metal wires for charging.

If your mother in law is savvy regarding the use of electronics, she will fine using these headphones. My elderly mother in law would have never grasped the concept of how to use and charge these headphone,

All this said, I like mine except for the lack of head band fit adjustment on my head. I use them all the time to watch TV while my husband sleeps. Hope this helps.

Thank you for your insight. She actually has dementia, so she wouldn’t be able to deal with them on her own. There is always someone w/ her, so they could adjust and them put them on her.
But it does’t seem like it will work w/ her TV. It’s hard to bring in new things to the house as big as a TV ( and it would change the furniture around to fit a new TV) That can be extra confusing and stressful.
I just can’t seem to find anything to work. :frowning:
It’s one of the first flat screen TVs, but when they just made the screen flat the the rest of the tv was still the old shape.
I’ll have to think on this some more.

Thank you for your help. I don’t think these will work w/ her tv. It’s plugged into a converter , but not a full cable box.
As long as she gets the Golf channel it’s all good

FYI these headphone are actually pink. The company doesn’t even offer purple headphones. For some reason the pictures are discolored and that is where the confusion comes in place

Own the Klipsh-Non BT. Love them. I got mine from Amazon, paid about 70 for them, this is a great price. Will say, if you have a big fat wide head, they might be a little tight.

Anyone know about the quality on these Turtle Beach PX5 refurbs?

Are the Pyle BT in colors any good for audio quality. Or would the Artic or Kinovo on Amazon be better?

Artic Model on Amazon

have the Sony x headphones they’re pretty damn good.

DON’T BUY!!! I bought these the last time they were on here. They had a short and was given the run around trying to get them replaced.

I bought a pair of the TB COD Delta Force (cousin to these) I don’t have a gaming console, I have them bound to a fingernail BT USB dongle and use them for GoTo and WebEx meetings.

Sound quality in and out is good. Attached easily to computer. Bit power hungry, but run fine on AA rechargeable NiMH batteries, just remember to change them b4 hosting a training!

BT Range is excellent! Much better range than my Sony DR-BT50. Boom mic is much better than mic on BT50 as well.

I have bound them to Galaxy S3 b4 but don’t use them with phone.

Can hurt head, esp w/ glasses. Have been afraid to try stretching head-hoop thinking it’s plastic and not metal.

Mute & volumes controls easy to find and use, when you get used to their placement.

For gaming, I cannot comment on thuds or ability to hear someone creeping up behind you or voice morphing.

Cheers,
PT

I second that! I am no audiophile or whatever the heck they are, but these headphones rock. It is even hard to tell that they are blue tooth…the quality is THAT good! I have had them on ALL day doing homework and not one skip and the battery is still a little more than half full. Have not tried them wired yet, but im sure the may sound even better then!
