Anyone know if the tv controls this sound bar, or is it controlled separately via the remote?

I have a Panasonic with Viera so it should support ARC.

If it has no HDMI connector, it doesn’t support ARC.

I wonder if Vizio made any of these things that worked the first time around or is “REFURBISHED” just the model number.

I got a refurbished one last week and love it. I had purchased a Samsung bar for my wife at a big box store for more money and this blows it away. Much deeper and clearer sound. Took awhile to figure out how to get my Cable remote to control the sound but had to program the code into my remote and it works perfectly. For being refurbished it looks like it has never been out of the package. I’m very pleased!

HEY! I just returned one of these 2 days ago. I bought it new last year and it sporadically refused to turn on. Finally, it just quit all together. When it worked it sounded great. Thankfully, the retailer I bought it from has a generous return policy and I was a month away from the warranty being up. I returned it and bought the newer version that has google cast capability. I hope it lasts more than a couple years… or at least lasts until next year and quits before the warranty again…

Maybe my old one will get a new life as a refurb. It’s worth noting, if you have a vizio TV, it should turn on with the TV remote and adjust the volume with the TV.

I just received one of these for Christmas. Something you can learn from me and my LG tv (connected via optical audio)…

You need to go into audio settings and turn off TV audio. Before doing this the TV audio + soundbar produced a really tinny sound and it nearly drove me crazy(er).

Does anybody know if this soundbar will sync via bluetooth to wireless headphones, or to my father’s hearing aids that sync bluetooth? Thanks in advance!

Yes, it has Bluetooth built in. Enjoy!

Mine was working great for a while. A couple days ago it would not power on but I let it sit and then it worked again, but it has done it again and it is not powering on at all now.

How do I go about a return here? Do I have to pay shipping? I hope not, because that would cost quite a lot :frowning:

Oh no! I’m sorry to hear your sound bar stopped working. If you haven’t already, please use the Customer Service form for assistance. They’ll be able to help you get this sorted out.

Thank you. I have e-mailed customer service
