VIZIO 38" 2.1 Soundbar w/Wireless Subwoofer

anyone have any experience with this thing? Loudness? Reliability of the wireless woofer?

Would I be able to hook up my turntable using the RCA connection to this? Does it have an input selection that allows me to select that particular channel?

Audio set ups always confuse me. Cable Box would go to TV via HDMI. Then TV would go to Soundbar via Optical?

I’m not sure what the final “C” in the model name is, but we bought this one (without that “C”) from a seller on Amazon in December and we’re pleased with the overall performance. Loudness was not an issue, but it was tough to get the right volume at lower levels as it seemed to be a little too loud or soft.

I have no complaints about the sub, which performed quite well. We ended up returning ours when there was an issue with the whole unit not turning on or just randomly turning off while using it within only a month of having it, but that’s the risk you run when buying a refurb unit.

We ended up buying the newer model (D6) on Woot as our replacement and I’ll say that, for me, it was worth the few extra dollars we spent on it.

Picked this up from Woot last month. Sub would not pair, had to return it. No issues with the return, though. Sounds great!

Does anyone know what is the wattage of this unit?

I bought the SB3821-C6 from Amazon in January 2016. Loudness was also not an issue, but I did have volume issues at lower levels as well. When I mean lower levels, for me, it is background noise when trying to fall asleep (can go from barely a whisper to close to a “normal” volume. Never had any issues with the wireless sub, but it was only 4 feet away from the soundbar. The sound bar would only turn itself off on it’s own after a period of inactivity.

Here’s my review on Amazon back in November:

4.0 out of 5 stars

Bass/sub leaves a little to be desired A LCD would be nice vs. decoding LEDs Sound quality not quite as …

PROS:
Bluetooth connectivity
Sound quality
Price
Connection options and included accessories

CONS:
Bass/sub leaves a little to be desired
A LCD would be nice vs. decoding LEDs
Sound quality not quite as good as the VHT215

OVERALL:
A good upgrade to the VHT215 I had (sub no longer connected to the bar). The sound quality is not as good as the VHT215 I had and the sub is significantly smaller and not as deep or detailed for highs and lows. It also does away with the HDMI port but has BT connectivity which is handy. Overall, for the lower price, I’d take it but there’s some compromises.

does this model support Google cast audio streaming ?

Quick Google says that the C6 (this one) does not.

Has anyone else had trouble with their soundbar? Mine worked great the first night but the next day there was no power to the soundbar (sub still turned on). I moved it to different outlets and still nothing.
Thanks,
Mark

Uh oh, that doesn’t sound good (pun intended)

Working great so far!

I had the exact same thing. Got a return. Same problem 4 days later. Have to return both of them. first time purchasing from woot in several years turned out to be a bad decision.
