What do you do with gifts you received but do not want?

I actually hang onto them. If somebody thought I might need it, i probably will. I eventually get rid of it, even if I don’t want it still, but it is crazy how often i think “this is worthless” then I end up using it.

I don’t give gifts nor do I want to receive them. It is usually felt as an obligation by the giftee and not usually appreciated by the recipient. Abandon material gifts and just show the love.

My thoughts exactly‼️

I put it in a box and sell it for $9.99 and call it a “Banquet Of Cats”! :face_with_hand_over_mouth::face_with_hand_over_mouth::face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Me too. I really thought about this and I’ve never received a gift that I couldn’t use and/or enjoy in some way.

After 50 years on this planet, I’ve decided I’m really not into the “gifting” process at all. I really have everything I need…food, shelter, my kids and my dog. My gift of choice is a donation to a favored charity.

Or a t-shit from Woot!, of course!

It depends. I swear my brother’s favorite thing is getting me things that don’t fit. Last year for my birthday he got me a great shift knob for my car that didn’t fit (and I tried searching for adapters with no luck). The year before he got me headphones that I couldn’t get to stay in my ears. The year before that he got me a shirt that was like 2 sizes too small. I physically can’t use the gifts he gets me.

lol… some siblings are dicks like that. My gfs brother insists on getting her xxl tshirts knowing full well that that shit’s going to swallow her whole! lol…

Wrong sizes of clothes (or shift knobs) are another story of course. I’d take those and swap for a size that fits, but I don’t really count that since you’re still using the same thing.

I either donate or find a Wooter who may like a particular item. So far no one wants to swap extra BOC tags I have, but hopeful sometime soon.
