We took cuttings from our fig tree (that is itself a cutting from the tree that we had when I was a kid, that I am told came over from Sicily) using root/propagation balls because I want a backup just in case something were to happen to the original… I don’t want it’s lineage to die.

as you can see… they are doing great. The one on the left is our misfit - out of the five we did, it was the last to show any signs of life - but I think it’s going to be the strongest. As soon as we’re sure it’s not dipping back down below 50° at night, we’ll transplant them out in the yard in their forever plots.

Okra. We don’t have soil, just sand., so it’s pots, raised beds etc .
