Omg your pack is so freakin good looking! And the Tuxedo cat is the cherry on top!
I learned about birds before cats. My first encounter with a Macaw was this B&G at the bird store who’d chat you up and lure you in closer. Then she’d scream and lunge and the people (myself included) would jump back. She’d then do a little celebration dance. After a while I understood her tactic. So when she screamed and lunged I said, “I’m not scared of you!” And she just stood there looking at me. Then put her foot up and we were cool after that.
Chickens aren’t quite at that level, but they’re entertaining to watch. Ducks on the other hand. Nope. At least not male ducks. Geese are scary but they don’t pretend to be friendly before attacking
Your dog looks so much smarter and well behaved than the noodledog my brother had.
And birds are real. But it is much harder to appreciate them without hands on experience.
I don’t like rodents. But I love animals and (with reluctance & persuasion) even made friends with someone’s pet hairless rat. I called him Nuts (not his name) and he’d run over to me. I’ll probably never befriend another rat in my life. But I can see the appeal.
