For Corrado:
Willamette Valley Vineyards Pinot Noir Trio
$59.99 + $5 shipping
condition: Red
products:
1 2006 Estate Pinot Noir
1 2007 Whole Cluster Pinot Noir
1 2007 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir
Something good? I got a pay raise, so this stuff seems a little more affordable now.
Well shoot - I jumped on this instantly, to take a try at First Sucker. I went to Willamette University, and would love to get some Willamette Valley reds to sample.
Failure one - card not processed. Wrong CCV number (d’oh! Forgot which card was set to default!)
Failure two - card not processed. No idea why, I corrected the issues, but it just didn’t work.
/sigh
Random note: For those not familiar with it, it’s pronounced “will-AM-et”, not “WILL-uh-met”
Don’t have any pinot. Didn’t want to only have one bottle of each of these, though I think the 2006 and 2007’s are probably somewhat interchangable; jury is still out on that one.
In for two.
In for two, I have liked what I have had from Willamette Valley Vineyards in the past and love OR pinots. Would be fun to rat.
I’ve had all three and have been to the tasting room. I don’t have detailed notes but they are all EXCELLENT and this price is incredible.
The Whole Cluster is one of the more unique Pinot’s I’ve tried. A little lighter in color and very easy drinking. Super smooth with very little acidity due to the whole cluster process.
I remember the estate being excellent. A little more bold like your typical OR Pinot.
I bet this will sell out by Wednesday!
Well, here is Pinot Noir everyone has been asking for. Click the link above for discount details – pretty sweet.
In for 2! Thanks for a good one to use my Woot Birthday Coupon on.
Quick note for those of you questionmasters out there.
Website lists the Whole Cluster as “Drink now through 2010” and the regular 2007 Pinot as “Drink Now through 2013”. Estate 2006 is “drink now through 2012”. Wow. The Estate bottling retail is $40. Raise a glass, yo.
Hmm, I guess third try is a charm. Order went through on third try
I look forward to giving these lovely wines a try.
Hello Wooters! Thanks for inviting us to play–it’s out first time! And I must say you guys are fast and good! You already added a link to our website, correct pronunciation, I don’t think you even need me. I’m Cara, our National Sales Director and a native Oregonian. Let me know if I can be of any help. Cheers! And happy wooting! Don’t forget Thanksgiving is right around the corner and there isn’t anything better to pair with turkey & cranberries thank Pinot Noir–from the Willamette Valley.
I’m far more interesting on how you ended up with this name for the winery. First come first serve?
Temporary Wine Woot Thread Hijack!!!
Upcoming Woot Wine Gathering information … find one near you listed below. Thanks to cjsiege for keeping it up to date in the Getting to Know You thread in the World of Woot Wine forums.
And now back to the Wine …
Huh…I just spent the afternoon at Willamette Valley Vineyards tasting room, at a “Magnum” tasting party. Got to taste the 2006 Waddenswil, Pommard, 114, and 777 clone pinots, as well as some whites and a couple of their Griffin Creek offerings. Anyway, kinda creepy that WD posted this offer tonight…Maybe Griffin Creek will be the second offering this week???
You know what? Fuck it. In for one. Nice to have the winery with us today! Which do you recommend for this Thanksgiving? I only wanna bring one bottle home … or else dad’ll get a hold of 'em and they’ll be gone. : (
Pretty much-- we are celebrating our 25th anniversary this year and at the time the Willamette Valley wasn’t an appelation yet. Jim Bernau our Founder & President was the first native Oregonian to start a winery in the Willamette Valley and his goal was to have a world class winery that would out live him.
FINALLY, QUALITY PINOT’S AND IDAHO IS NOT ON THE LIST. OH MY. GUESS I WILL SEND TO MY DAD’S HOUSE IN WASHINGTON BUT THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES THE WINE WILL STILL BE THERE WHEN I GO TO PICK IT UP IN DECEMBER.
Also! woot!, you jerks! Come to New Hampshire sometime! I know we’re a boring bunch of hills out in the middle of nowhere, but we need love too. At least come to Boston!
