Seriously though, You guys should know your house is going to smell like noxious mattress for as long as a week after you buy this thing. That’s the biggest complaint I have seen about this from pervious woots.
Ah, a thread. Now don’t be shy. Please tell us all about it if you bought one previously.
College son needs a mattress for his new apt. Anybody own this one? Thumbs-up? Thumbs-down?

Got one on the last go around of these. It is a lot firmer than i expected and definitely takes time getting used to. I absolutely love it now though but the wife doesnt care for it much. For me it would be hard to go back to a normal mattress. My biggest gripe about it would have to be the chemical smell that it puts off. We gave it 24 hours to air out and expand before using it but 2 and a half weeks later you can still kinda smell it. Its not a awful smell by any means, just… different i guess.
Edit: The 2 pillows it comes with are awful. They are extremely thin to begin with so when you put your head on them you pretty much sink down to the mattress.
froogle.com lists many at same price… don’t think this is a great deal…I always get a bit worried when not manufacturer is listed.

I bought one and it was the best purchase I’ve ever made. If I had a spare room I’d buy one in an instant.
It showed up at my door wrapped up like a giant, yellow Tootsie roll. Have you bed ready for the mattress before you unwrap it. Once it starts inflating it gets unwieldy fast. The smell at first was pretty strong but not bad enough to keep me from sleeping on it the first night.
I’ve had three spinal surgeries and wake up barely able to walk in the morning, usually at a pain level of eight or nine. That first morning I got out of bed at a pain level of less than a two!! I’m off narcotic pain medications and hardly even take over the counter meds like tylenol any more. I will never buy another bed except this type from now on. So If you have a bad back BUY THIS BED!! You won’t be sorry.
I’m sitting on one now… but not the same kind, so I can’t speak for that one. I made sure to let it air out in the attic with an open window for several days in an effort to get the smell out before using. Mine is only 4 inches think so moving it wasn’t as much of a problem as it would be for a 10" model.
They take a little getting used to, at first, it’s kind of like sleeping on a giant marshmallow. Just don’t try to eat it.
I bought this mattress 10 months ago. I didnt notice the 90 day warranty. NINETY DAY WARRANTY!!! The mattress took at least 30 days to off-gas. Not fun. It was nice for I would say 7 months and I really enjoyed it. Now the foam is compacting and sagging in the middle. My back was so messed up from it that I have to sleep on the floor until I get another mattress from somewhere else. I asked woot to help and since the bed is out of warranty, no help. I am a fit and active 38 year old male. I do not recommend this mattress. Spend a little more and get one from somewhere with a better warranty.
Same price on Amazon but with a 20 year warranty. I would buy it off Amazon.

[MOD: Different model, it doesn’t have a pillowtop. (TT)]
If this is the same manufacturer as the previous WOOT memory foam, you won’t get any sort of warranty. Mine came defective and woot dumped me off on the manufacturer and the manufacturer never made good on anything.
Worst DEAL EVER on WOOT.
New? Aww, I was hoping for a refurbished mattress!
If it is the same as the last one from a month ago, hard as a rock. Ended up buying a pillowtop for it to make it useable.
I had the unfortunate experience of sleeping on this for a week while visiting friends about a month ago. Terrible…even the company doesn’t think it is great (with the 90 day warranty).
For the same price, or a little more, go on amazon and get one with decent warranty…and perhaps an actual brand name.
WE have the one without the pillow top. Its in the guest room. Guests like it and are actually looking for one for their home.
I have a different issue, our cat just peed on it and I am having trouble getting the smell out! Any suggestions?
Hello… King here… I need something in my size!
Just a warning from someone who did not heed the “this mattress cannot be used without a base” notice that comes with memory foam mattresses… Use a base or be prepared to buy a new mattress in a couple months. I learned the hard way with a 600$ memory foam mattress.
I saw some people say you could use it directly on the floor without a base even tho the mattress tags say not to. Well I used it without a base and moisture (no idea where it came from, just present I guess with heat) sat under it on my carpet and eventually rotted my carpet under it and traveled up threw the mattress. Not a fun thing to deal with…

Ugh. Bad kitty. I’ve had great results with Simple Green Pet Stain & Odor Remover I used the dog version and it got out a 5-year old stain that professional carpet cleaners couldn’t get out. I love this stuff. Pet Smart carries it.
