AcuRite 01105M PRO+ Color 5-in-1 Weather Station

I have had several of their 5in1 weather stations. They are pretty acurite, just like the name, if you set them up right. Their customer support is very responsive and they have a forum plus they have reps that are on other popular weather forums to help people. I have had issues with parts after several years of use and they either send a new one free or have the parts or improved upgraded parts cheap. They are modular so it is very easy to replace anything that breaks over time or needs a upgrade.
The minuses are the displays don’t have tenths on the temp or wind speed but the sensor is capable of broadcasting it to your pc or with the optional internet bridge. PC connect uses a usb cable so either keep it close to your pc or get a Long USB cable.
These are built to a budget price point but are pretty nice weather stations with a lot of advanced features for the price you pay. If your a weather geek on a budget this is a great way to jump in.

Thanks for the quality info. If you’re familiar with it, how does it stack up against the Davis Vantage Pro2 which I own? Accuracy, parts and sensor reliability, etc? I’ve had my Davis for about 6 years, had to change out the anemometer almost upon receipt and again about 2 mos. ago. Also, you pay high dollar when a part goes bad. Can’t believe Accurite sends new replacement parts free! Did I read that right?

Very informative review, thank you for taking the time to write it. I’m jumping in. Living in northern Wisconsin, sometimes cold & wind is all there is to talk about.

I just ordered a 5-in-1 from Acurite, which will be my first. I have bought 100s of their various digital temperature/RH sensors and displays over the past 8 years or so, and I have found their sensors to be quite accurate and reliable. I have been using several of their newer SmartHUB systems, where I can monitor sensors over the internet. The data is sent to your account in the cloud. The software is klunky but is regularly upgraded and improved. These are a good deal. BTW, I am an energy efficiency expert in central Vermont.

What is the real model number for this offering? this model does not exist online.

It’s here on Amazon

It might have been a retailer exclusive.

Thank you

I’ve had my 5 in 1 unit for just over a year. It replaced another brand (Oregon Scientific). I still run a Ambient Weather station in a different area of my yard but I have the 1105Mpro setup as my primary unit. I have it sending data to Weather Underground.

My ONLY issue is:

  1. My fan has been making noise. Noticed it last week so it’s time to take it down and lube up the fan or see if something is hitting the blades.
  2. The solar panel might make some people think it keeps the batteries charged. Unlike my Ambient unit that does, this only runs the internal fan.
  3. It requires batteries so it’s not a set it and forget it. Though the overall features are nicer then my Ambient unit, the Ambient has it’s built in power source, has a longer range and pretty much does the same thing but not a pretty screen (B&W, not color).
  4. It’s a bigger unit then some. Had to attach some guide wires on the pole that it’s mounted on to keep it strait. It’s about 9ft from the ground.

Does anyone know the approximate wireless range from the main outside unit to the inside display unit?

It is a 01105 and Amazon has it listed, but out of stock.

All you have to do is Google for the info.

Woot price is a bargain and if I didn’t have my Davis I’d be in for one.

Do these come with any pole to mount them with or would I need a seperate purchase?

Mounting hardware is included but not the thing you’re going to mount it to. So no pole.

They come with a year warranty so for a year if you have issues they will replace or send out parts, after that most of the parts that go bad can be purchased pretty reasonably, and sometimes if it’s a known issue they might decide to replace it for you. Davis makes excellent quality stations that are pretty reliable but they cost a lot more so if course you get what you pay for. They replaced the fan setup in mine becuase the fan would stop working and was noisy when it did. I think it was close to a year or might have been out of warranty but it was a known issue so they replaced it. They have a parts list on their web site for extras, parts, upgrade parts, you can check out.
