The commercials show Macs as being so media friendly…why are all the mac users crying?
Oh I hate microcrash…I really do.

I’m a little confused, I have a cheap usb2 tuner and i tried playing xbox with it and it seemed to be pretty decent as far as lag, but theres no place to plug in the composite audio cable, so i cant get sound… I dont really get why it wouldn’t have them but it doesnt. Should I pick this up for playing video games on my laptop or is there another way to get audio from the composite outputs? I dont think there is but I just want to make sure theres not a way to do it that Im not thingking of. Thanks
I would check that again… you link to “GameBridge AVC-1400” which is clearly not the same thing being sold at woot tonight… “Adaptec GameBridge AVC-1410”
nice item but scary price, whats the catch?
You must spend a lot of time driving the wrong way on one-way streets.
I looked all over the interweb, and couldn’t find anything that suggested that this thing might work with MythTV. If it does not…what good is it? ![]()
The side deal is not kool as well, this makes me want to study for my stats exam in 11 hours.
How did I know before even looking that it isn’t the same model? Heck, I knew before even seeing the url, which contains a different model number.
i got one. i wanna see how it compares to my dazzle DVC-90 that i got here a while ago. at only 25 dollars how can i refuse?
This is the first time I wooted without knowing why I wooted. I still got to woot though, still got that excited feeling when hitting the I Want One button and supported woot at the same time. I will waste a bunch of time trying to get it to work later but it certainly offers quite a few features I can’t pull off now. Thanks woot!
Indeed thinking that that eBay item is the same as this item indicates no brains.
LOL oh yeah and we all waisted $2000+ on a 56inch HD TV, so why did they even put these up for sale… plus are you gonna take that tv on the road with you and your laptop?
What part of “audio/video and Svideo inputs” from the product description don’t you understand?
anybody know if this is supported by windows media center edition? (i know, it’s a longshot…)
*i could always use a backup 3rd tuner, if it’s cheap ![]()
Hey bitman, if you want to correct your post, use the edit link.
They will when they use it.
my personal experience with video capture devices:
i used to have a pentax usb 2 capture back when usb 2 capture devices were rare. it worked pretty well, aside from the aforementioned lag (which i am pretty sure is on every software driver device). the pentax didnt work on every computer i tried it on, especially my toshiba laptop, for reasons still unknown to me. currently, this device is fried. it didnt take 8 hours of smash bros per day for a year very well…
i came upon some spare computer parts. those parts included a 4mb ati rage 3d all in wonder pci card. i built a pentium 3 pc around that card and currently this computer functions as my tv/game viewer in my dorm (theres a no tv rule). there is no lag that i can see.
i suggest using winamp’s winamp TV plugin. its a lot less hassle than using provided capture programs. plus, it allows you to select the frequency you are tuned to by hand, which is handy if you like to analyze interferences.
Can’t wait to get this and a Wii so i can play on the road! I could fit both in my breifcase with room to spare!
Been looking for a way to convert some old home movies on VHS to DVD. I’ll give this a try.
