How durable are the casters?
Any idea how much weight they can hold in total? Per drawer?
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE SHOULD YOU PURCHASE THIS UNIT or similar ones made by Adeptus. I purchased two and both have taken around 3.5 hours to assemble. Upon completing assembly of the last drawer on the second unit, it became apparent it was not manufactured correctly and would not fit into the case. Woot would not supply a new drawerand the only way to get a refund or new unit was to COMPLETELY DISASSEMBLE THE ENTIRE UNIT AND RETURN IT!!! RUN AWAY!
I made the mistake of buying on of these last year. It requires 2 people, a lot of time and patience, maybe a few tears of frustration, and a good set of tools to assemble. I got the basic flimsy cabinet assembled in an hour or so then discovered the horrible truth. Unlike every other cabinet kit in the world, the drawers on this have NO GUIDE HOLES for screws!!! If I had proceeded, I was assured a mess and many hours of fumbling and cursing. By then, to return it to WOOT would have required a complete disassembly of this POS. If you are an accomplished wood worker, carry on I guess. In my case, I put the entire mess out on the curb and put in on Craigslist for free. Google this this before you buy. Many one star reviews.
I maybe the exception, but I really like these cabinets. I followed someones suggestion about gluing everything as you go. They are sturdy when you do that. The trick to the drawers is just to make sure they are square as you assemble them and then test as you go. I bought 1 from woot, liked it enough that I have bought 2 more when they came around on woot again. If they had the wide 6 drawer in stock I would have bought another today.
This cart is advertised with the demensions of ~ W 20.75" x D 15.35" x H 25.43". What I received was a cart with the dimensions of 25.4 H x 13.4 W x 15.4 D. Certainly not the size I was expecting to receive. The top was broken. Registered the cabinet with Adeptus and they are supposedly sending a new top. Buyer beware of false advertising. Once I receive the replacement part, I hope the assembly is not a nightmare. I will make due with the smaller cabinet, but I wanted the wider cabinet as advertised as my intent was to store my laptops in the drawers, which will not work with the smaller cabinet. Hesitate to buy future items from woot.
