Apple 10.5" iPad Pro Tablet (2017) (S&D)

This was a dumb iPad purchase I made from Woot. I took it to the Apple Store for revision because the battery was draining very fast. In sum: This purchase has cost me an additional $200 to

  1. Import the device into Guatemala, where I live, **2. Replace a shot battery (max charge was 63%), and 3. Change the rear camera cracked lens. Additionally, Apple reports that the motherboard is damaged, and will abnormally drain the battery and shorten its life expectancy. The iPad; with a new battery; is now NOT charging. It drained down to 1% and will not charge more than that. Completely useless.
IN OTHER WORDS, WOOT IS SELLING DEFECTIVE GOODS. So much for your quality assurance.
Based on this, it is an insult to offer a $50 partial refund, or the option to send it back and get my money back. Sending it back, from Guatemala, implies $50 shipping from Guatemala to Miami, from where your prepaid shipping would kick in.
I ADVISE NOT TO BUY USED STUFF FROM WOOT. YOU RISK BEING RIPPED OFF!!!

*good

It was 1 good. They offered a complete refund.

Seems to me to be very fair and honest. The 50 bucks refund doesn’t sound very mean either. Sounds pretty fair from here.

I’m sorry your iPad isn’t working properly. As therealjrn pointed out, they did offer a refund if you return it, which is standard practice for Woot and other online businesses. However, Woot sells to the continental US only (except for shirts) and isn’t responsible for those who take their goods outside the country. They would cover the shipping if it was sent from a US address but they aren’t responsible for any additional shipping charges to get it here. You chose to take it outside of the US so it is your responsibility to return it if you want a refund.

(Please note: I don’t work for Woot, I just volunteer to help out here on the forums.)
