Woot can’t take Amazon stock like that.

It’s the Seasons of Change Community Store. They use it to help fund their other community outreach programs.
You quite literally never know what you’ll find. I’ve scored some amazing purchases from there. (missed out on a 77" LG OLED TV for $800!!!) Most days there’s nothing I really want or need, though. It’s very much like Woot. First come first serve. Might be junk, might be a diamond in the rough.

I want to believe this but my experiences over the years tells me otherwise. The clearest evidence that causing shoppers frustration isn’t an “issue to be solved” are some of Woot’s own words.
In your blurb describing the “vestibule of patience or annoyance or whatever it’s called, the tone is the opposite of sympathetic. You mention the traffic, you even provide a chart of the spike in traffic. But the context it’s presented in is not as an issue with infrastructure you’re hoping to solve with upgrades. Its seems like you’re reveling in the frustration of users when it is a byproduct of high traffic. Like you are so stoked on having that many people on the site trying to buy at once.
That is not the only thing I’ve read on the forums that expressed an attitude towards those left waiting to get nothing that said “haha f*** in sucks to be you. You can keep waiting, we don’t care, you’ll probably get nothing. Enjoy the frustration because the same spike that prevented you from being able to purchase also means we have enough customers that we don’t have to be concerned with how upset we make you. Good luck, you’re gonna need it.” It’s trying to be cute but it’s condescending annoying after the 6th time you nearly get a box but don’t
What happened I actually when I opened the app I was directly on the page to buy it and it had some weird symbol and I spent $20 stuff was at 3:05-3:07 which is midnight over there
Are you able to share other statics beyond what’s on the listing?
Would be interesting to see how many orders were placed within the 1st min, how many visited the page, etc.
That’s confidential information, and Woot can’t share it.

I kind of hope these ship in separate boxes, and not just in the boxes of the product. The last time we got a good deal on a portable monitor (from the mothership), it never showed up. The person that was supposed to deliver it delivered everything else, and said it was on another truck, not his. He volunteered this info without us asking, which makes us think he took it
.
You see, I’m not sure the site is for you if you can’t understand the fact that there’s only so many to go around, and the dopamine rush of hitting a deal when the odds were stacked against you is rivaled only by the finest of illegal substances. In fact, it feels almost like you finally made your parents proud.
And then the BOC is delivered and it really is a BOC…
back to the job classifieds again…
Yeah…
Now preparing for shipping
RE: Cancellations
We [stupidly] didn’t expect this to sell at the velocity that it did and we didn’t set the sale to use the VOP. The VOP helps manage order surges like this.
The cancelations were from the system to reverse the order, payments, etc.
Sorry for the confusion and frustration.

Hopped on this morning to try and see if there were enough votes yesterday and maybe snag one if that was the case…

Can you at least tell me the address for everyone who got one successfully?
What it feels like to snag a deal o meter no one else could get! Jokes!
I hope that my leaderboard $20 coupon code is still active since I used it to purchase the later canceled item.
I guess i was super lucky that I managed to grab one. The processing page felt like it took forever. Almost as exciting as a BoC.
Got mine set to be delivered next Tuesday the 19th.
