Bell + Howell TriBurst Garage Light 2pk

Bell + Howell TriBurst Garage Light 2pk

I got these the last time the were posted. It’s a dramatic improvement over incandescent bulbs. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Can you purchase a product like this that automatically goes on with a motion detector as opposed to only going on with a light switch? The screwing into a regular socket for a bulb seems ideal for the garage and attic.

How many lumens for each light?

The specs on Amazon say each fixture is 4000 lumens.

There are motion sensor light adapters that you can screw into a socket, just like a regular light bulb. You would then screw this Bell + Howell fixture into it, creating a motion sensor light. Obviously, that would cause the light to hang a bit lower so research the specs of the adapter to make sure the end result will not hang too low.

Amazon sells various motion sensor light socket adapters if you go there and do a search. Some work with Alexa.

I bought these last time. One has already gone out. Pretty expensive to only last a month.

I bought one these @ Homedepot for 29.99 (only 1pk), then one of the heads went out in less than 8 hours of use. Not a fan. Wish I could take it back but it has been over 90days.

I bought two of these for my garage when they first hit the market. I was blown away with how bright they are. I would not hesitate to buy them again.

Has anyone followed the Warranty link? There is no mention of this product for warranty registration on the linked website. In fact - this product does not even show under their “Products” page?

That is the problem with a lot of the newer LED bulbs. I made the mistake of replacing all the canned lights in our home with expensive LED bulbs that were supposed to last 10 years. Less than a year and several already died… and guess what if I wanted to do the warranty crap I would have to send them in and pay for return shipping of the replacements meaning it would end up costing me more than they are worth. I stopped buying expensive LED bulbs because they often don’t last long at all

I got these last time and they are a vast improvement in the garages. Unfortunately, they can’t bend light around corners (what’s up with that?) and my storage racks still cause some dark corners, but the rest of the light is so good that I can still find what I need in the those darker areas.

Just bought another set to put them in the attic and have one left over in case one goes out.

What brand were you buying? For my normal LED bulbs, I’ve never replaced any of them due to failure. Going on 4 years with the same set of bulbs throughout the house.

I bought a set earlier today and just followed the warranty registration link in the product description and left a message, asking what I need to do next to register them for the 5-yr warranty.

There are lights like this with built in motion sensors.
Have one in my basement, love it. In mid-west, purchased at Menards, any of the others should have as well.

Meh! Not a great price. I got a similar light for $10.

Thanks.

Bell & Howell has gone from a respected brand to a brand name for sale. Incorporated in 1907, Bell & Howell was a major manufacturer of imaging equipment from Charlie Chaplin’s movie camera to the slide projector at your junior high as well as microfilm products. This later business eventually led to it getting into the online services business. Even if you never bought any of its products, the name rang a bell, and suggested sturdy, reliable quality.

What it became: The information-services part of B&H is now a perfectly respectable company called ProQuest. And Kodak owns Böwe Bell & Howell, which makes scanners. But the once-great brand name has otherwise been turned over to a licensing company that lets third parties slap it on pretty much everything except for the products it was once associated with. You can buy “Bell + Howell” laptop bags, razors, and headphones, as well as a pseudo-hearing aid hawked on late-night TV. (https://www.amazon.com/Bell-Howell-7912-Sonic-Earz/dp/B000O3T6HG) and a pest-repellent device (The information is not available right now). It’s undignified, I tell you.

Order a box of light benders, I think I saw some in the Gothamite section on Woot

American Lighting was what I used for the canned lights, used GE for the standard incandescent replacement, the GE bulbs have actually held up fairly well… The American Lighting were the turd bulbs and unfortunately the were the most expensive at a little over 15 dollars a bulb.
