Bibb Home Premium Weighted Blanket

Can’t seem to find the care instructions. Is it machine washable? Cover vs. weighted blanket? Dry clean only?

After buying two blankets in a previous sale, I had the thought that the weight of the blanket isn’t as important as the PSI (pounds/sq inch) of the blanket. A smaller blanket with a lower weight may actually be heavier than a larger blanket with a higher weight.

Indeed, of these 4 blankets, the heaviest is the 48x72 15lb.

The general consensus is the blanket should be 10-12 percent of your body weight. The two big blankets would need to be folded over unless you weight about 75 pounds.

Drat. I missed out last time they had weighted blankets, when there was a 25-lb. one.

I’ve posted on Woot about my experience with weighted blankets before. Aside from the aches and pains it gave me from the constant weight, it also spiked my blood pressure overnight. Half way through the third night of use I folded it up and gave it away the next day. I would urge caution if you have issues with your blood pressure or your joints (hips, knees, ankles). After my personal experience, I think these should come with a warning label.

I’m sure these could work well for others; it just didn’t work out well for me.
