Anyone buy one of these the last time they were for sale? If so, how is it so far? Debating between this and a Winix.
I did a review of the winix c545 a while ago.
I’m currently using a levoit - but this one looks promising since you can stuck it next to a wall.
So noisy, it is claiming smart air filter but it did not connect to any apps. Just one manual button. No touch button. Website descriptions has wrong informations. I would return it.
Man I really wish I bought 2 when I had the chance. I didn’t know how good this was actually going to be so I bought only 1. But now I wish I got a second one. I keep checking back hoping it will come back in stock.
I really am happy with this for the price was an absolutely amazing deal!
Here I’ll help you out. If the sound is bothering you so much that button doubles as a control knob. Turn the button left or right to manually control air speed…
But seriously, it never claimed to have an app or connection, it says it’s “smart” because it automatically detects the particulates in the air and adjusts the speed accordingly. (An app would literally be nothing but a gimmick why would you need an app or connection for an air filter? That’s like WiFi toilet seats and other nonsense. And it didn’t claim to have a touchscreen neither…)
But overall it is an extremely high quality unit and you can’t find anything like this at the price woot had it for. I wish I bought a couple extra if I knew how great it would was I would have bought 3 instead of just one.
By the way, you shouldn’t be returning things for no reason, returns cause the price of merchandise to go up for everyone. You could have easily read the user guide to find that simple info about manually controlling the speed… and neither the ad here or Amazon claimed that it has an app or touchscreen… nothing about the website was inaccurate.
It normally runs super quiet for me only goes loud if I’m vaping or using spray or something. But if it’s loud for you all of the time that means either you turned the control knob all the way up or that your air quality is extremely poor. You won’t find anything anywhere near this quality for the price woot had it for so returning it would be a terrible idea. Especially that you are returning for nonsense reasons.
