Just wanted to highlight the fine print. This does not include the battery or the charger, which are pricey. IMHO this is for someone who already uses Bosch tools and has a charger and extra batteries.
I just caught that myself. Glad you pointed it out.
That is true. However I dont understand why someone would assume otherwise. By the way there is a plug that plugs into the wall and you can run it with that and never need to buy the batteries.
But obviously this is part of a tool series, similar to what DeWalt and Milwaukee have (all of them have radio options also). The Bosch 12v weren’t distributed very much in this country – only by Amazon and Lowes, as far as I know. I have some Bosch 12V I bought a few years ago. They have a nice storage system of interlocking cases, similar to what all the other brands offer now.
If you just want a radio, this probably isn’t for you. Again, I thought it was kind-of assumed that this was part of a system for people that have drills, batteries, chargers already. Same with the DeWalt or Milwaukee radios. None of them come with batteries and chargers. it just wouldn’t be practical to bundle $100+ worth of stuff (that you usually get with tools) as part of an “accessory” radio that is meant for people with the tools already.
By the way this does NOT charge the battery. That was the main negative for me, and the only reason I didn’t buy today.
No Blue Tooth plus no battery and charger equals no deal
