Dammit woot, I just bought myself the waffle iron for Mother’s Day. Oh well, it wasn’t that much more. It’s pretty great, easy to adjust your level of golden. The 4 waffle version is large, and when you open it, it will hit an upper cabinet, so you need to use it where there is plenty of clearance to open it completely. Nothing has stuck so far.
Got this waffle maker as a wedding gift. I really want to like it, but honestly, I’ve yet to find a waffle maker that works better than my OLD, old GE 4-square waffle maker. It has many smaller dimples rather than the big, deep ones in the Belgian waffle makers.
If you are going to use this one, be sure to use their recipe for Belgian waffles. My go-to old Betty Crocker recipe did not have enough leavening to produce the lift needed to fill the deep waffle forms in the Belgian style machine. The recipe book also has some fun looking non-traditional recipes that I’d like to try. One appeared to simulate sticky toffee pudding, which sounds fan-freaking-tastic.
Thanks. I wondered the same thing. The description (“Grids/Plates Included”) is highly misleading. I mean, obviously they’re included, otherwise it would be stupid; but the sheer mention of them being included suggests that they may be removable.
Yeah, I’ve had the Milk Frother for months and love the thing. Makes beautiful milk froth for coffees, makes great hot chocolate, I’ve even made tea in the thing. It cleans itself if you put a little bit of soap and fill it with water and let it go thru a cycle.
One caveat, the discs are magnetic and will stick to random metal items in your kitchen if you are not careful. I thought I lost a disc for a few days but found it snuggling up to a spatula later.
